hey guys......i jz sort of got back to a caucasian country to study university after being in malaysia for 8 years which i hardly used any english at all...and my chinese improved a lot while i was back there until i sort of liked using chinese more and i became more fluent and skilled at flirting and talking wif girls using chinese cause of course, im more fluent wif chinese than my english (though my english isnt bad at all, just not 100% fluent like caucasians) and lately like, ive taken a liking to this korean chick...and she cant speak chinese (duh) and she speaks good english...and urm well, i find that when i try to talk to her...well i think my IQ drops a few notches cause i talk Sh*T and stupid things that make me look stupid to her

okay example :

me : hi~~ urm...so hows ur exams~

her :aww...it wasn't very good *smiles* how bout you?

me : erm...pretty bad....dun feel like talking about it

O.O omfGosh after i said that i was like thinking 'omfGosh if i didnt want to talk about it why did i even ask her in the 1st place' and im like omG im so stooooopig....

well...if we were talking in chinese i could have easily said some playful stuff back cause its easier for me u know...its just more natural for me...and when i speak in english its sort of unnatural for me...omG and to a girl i like i just screw up so bad...i mean like, i will talk okay with any other normal girl....its just when i talk to her and i become stupid. it sorta affects my confidence as well cuz after making myself looking stupid i dont reli dare to go talk to her again cause i might jz make myself look retarded this time.

so do u guys have any similiar situation...? and how did u guys improve....any tips and so on? =3

How about improving your typing skills? ^^ sorry I don't mean to be mean about this.
But when I use to type like that, I had a guy I liked, make fun of me for it and I felt SO stupid that I changed the way I typed

I've never had a problem with English cause I've lived most of my life in the USA
but erm, I guess slowly improve? I mean, no rush, right? cause then that'd make you more stupid?

My advice , would be for you to get a a smart but cool friend (girl ) , and start to practice your english with her , it may sound awkward ,but it worked for me , when i went to England for 3 years .

what the??? lOOL~~~ =3 erm...nah i usually type in lazy english on the internet....cause im lazy to type the full words and stuff. well thanks guys for the info....its just i dont really know what to say in english cause i have to think of the right words and how to say it..cuz talking with girls is quite different from talking with guys in english...cuz i talk to guys in english all the time but not really to girls in english...cuz the girls i talk to can speak chinese....and shes 1 of few girls i have to speak english with....and i guess cuz i like her i get sort of nervous when i'm talking at her and i get quite self concious lolx >.< im totally cool playing with girls that are my friends but i always sort of screw up everything i do around her..last time i dropped my lunch on the floor while i was replying her smile while walking and another time i bumped into this girl i was (again) smiling back at her...sighs. dont know whats wrong with me.

LOL this happened to me too , my best advice would be for you to relax and be yourself mate , trust in you : ) (this sound's like a movie phrase xD , but it's true thought .P ).

well for one, i dont believe flirting can be "taught." however, if english is what youre lacking, i suggest you watch more TV, like comedy central. it would improve your LANGUAGE, and not just your grammar. girls like guys who can speak well.. so be creative =)

I'm a girl. This is one of the ways i've seen a guy who can't speak great english successfully get me to spend time with him.

-Ask her to hang out with you and speak in English so you can practice. Ask her general questions about weather, politics, school, news, ect. and when she starts to talk, pick something she says that you recognize and hang onto it. Ask her questions about things you don't know. Mabe even bring up dating scenarios and ask her what she would prefer in such situations, what's the right thing for a guy to say in english, ect. Now, you have spent time with her, talked to her, learned English, and know what she likes.

i learnt some good english pick up lines....and some i thought up myself which was pretty lame but i used one on her last night...she was sick with a cold and i txted her "hey...heard that u got a cold..thats weird cuz i remember the last time i saw u u were hot......blablbalbalblabla" hahaha i think its pretty lame and even she agreed it was lame "yea that was lame hahaha loL" erm....i dont know how to start a convo wif her cuz shes normally with other people or talking with other people...i hardly get to see her alone....

hmmm...let me give you my tips...but first of all, if you don't think that your english is good enough, then you have to improve it..don't have to be grammatical perfect, though....

A good flirting can create emotion...as well as attractivenes...

1. Don't start with a boring question...such as, how are you ?, what are you doing ?, etc...instead...I normally ask... long time no hear ? are you still alive ? .... or you can begin with a personal question, such as your question...

2. Story Telling...this is very important part...because your flirting ability depends on this...you have to be able to tell any story that happen in your life...and it should be real...don't make up any....example...(I use your part)..

Me : hey, how is your exam ?
her : aww...it wasn't very good *smiles* how bout you?
Me: What ? come on, did you study ?....
Me: hahaha, my exam ? ...it's funny...I studied all of the chapters that were given but none of them came up in the test...sudden blackout....geezzz.....I think we are going to team up in the resit.....
