I Cant Decide Between Corolla Or Rsx?

so I'm currently trying to figure out what car I want to buy.
Type of car (sporty, luxury, economy, SUV): sporty/economy
Price range: 12-17k
New or used: used
Manual or automatic: automatic
Years of driving: 4 years
Cars currently suggesting: Used 2000-2006 acura RSX, 06 Toyota Corolla, 06 Mazda 3, or scion tc.
I been eyeing the RSX ever since I can drive but the only thing holding me back is the fact that insurance is more expensive for coupes.
So I'm pretty much getting a fairly 'newer' used car I simply dont know which one yet. I currently drive a 2006 nissan sentra that is my grandpas.
A couple of deciding factors for me are:good fuel economy, and the gas pedal. I hope this doesnt sound odd, but I dont like a car where the gas pedal isnt 'sensitive'. For example, I dont like in some cars, you have to really step on the gas pedal because it feels kinda soft.
These are the cars I been researching, but I'm up for other suggestions.
Thanks for the help!

-oh and if you want a sensitive gas pedal, the tCs def got it due to its low end torque.
Cause I'm gonna burn one down.

But, I would really like a Camry Hybrid. haha.
My choose would be the Mazda, Toyota, RSX or the scion.
Cute tops, cardigans, and more!

Some cars have a mechanism of some sort to emulate a traditional non-electronic throttle feel. The car I own is a non-electronic throttle type, but I drive many cars that have that soft electronic throttle pedal and I got used to it pretty quick. Not a problem for me anymore.

It's called a lack of HP, and you're not going to really find it in either car.

You can haggle with insurance companies on the phone. Like if you call Geico, just say "Allstate gave me this quote. Can't you do better?" Or, "I've been paying this much for the Sentra. I'd like to keep it as close to that as possible because it's all I can afford." And insurance companies give discounts for little things like if you're a college student, took a safety course, etc. just ask and maybe there's something on their list that you aren't but you can become. And THEN get your RSX.
But if you find a steal just go for it and be happy.

Yea I actually find some of them to be a little uglier than others. The exterior of the RSX looks the best in my opinion, but I do believe the interior will be a deciding factor for me as well.
As for the insurance pointers, I guess I'll have to look into it more. I didn't think you can haggle on insurance. Theres a lot I still need to learn.
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
--EDIT--
Also, I forgot to add this earlier....since Im purchasing a used car, what you guys recommend to be the ideal mileage to look for?
In my area (illinois), a lot of the listings for the rsx have mileage over 50K.

Hmm... I think pandie means pedal sensitivity, which has nothing to do with horsepower. Like my Civic is hard to control because it is harder to smoothly apply pressure, whereas my old Accord was more accurate because it was less sensitive when I applied pressure.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds that way.

Sporty car, good fuel economy = RSX. Other than that, can't comment much more. No idea about how insurance is over there

So for cars that don't have **** for torque, like the S2000, it wouldn't apply?

i think im gonna go with what i been setting my eyes on...the rsx.
ohh and I was wondering, if any of you that have/had an rsx, how was driving in the winter, especially during heavy snowing conditions IF there is snow in ur area?
in chicago, there can be some crazy snow storms so I just want to make sure the rsx is good to drive in those conditions.
Im sorry if I keep thinking of all these questions!
