I was thinking of making care packages for children in Mexico and then going there with some friends to hand deliver them to some of the more impoverished areas ... Since they're for the children, I was thinking of putting in candy, gum, and toys, but any other ideas? Thanks

hmm, if they're little kids, i would say toys are good...but if they're big kids, i would much prefer sports instruments like a soccer ball or basketball or something....
maybe books?? school supplies??? clothes??? food???

Well I was thinking, for the little kids (this is cheesy, mind you) the main focus in terms of toys would be like ... a giant fluffy teddy bear. Personally, I adore teddy bears and I was thinking that maybe these kids haven't ever SEEN a teddy bear before in their lives ... so yeah? Maybe?

And I like the idea of the soccer balls/basketballs and stuff ...

if they live where theres a field of cactuses i'm pretty sure they ain't gonna use your soccer balls.

Yeah, I'm thinking about putting in like plain t-shirts and pants and blankets, candy, toys, gum, shoes and socks, toiletries and yeah the soccer balls idea.

toothbrush and toothpaste? and some other hygiene products, my friend went to mexico
and the kids got soooo excited to get toothbrushes :]
