i've been hearing a lot of the adults nowadays say that they never had a mobile phone when they were kids when they see us play with ours.

1. i'm wondering how old were you when you first got yours?
2. and what was the reason in getting it?

1. i got my first in grade 3 (mum's old one. xD)
2. she's an overprotective parent. wants to know my whereabouts 24/7.

I got my first cell phone towards the end of my freshman year in high school.
By then everyone had a cell phone and my mum was frustrated that she couldn't reach me if I wasn't with her (like she'd pick me up for a ride and she couldn't see me or something) -.-a I think I just wanted to have a cell phone to play around with, not do stuff kids do nowadays like download junk and text 24/7. It kind of disgusts me when I see elementary school kids with cell phones -- they don't need one.

2. reason? i was just part of the family plan. i had no life in 9th grade.

I needed people to be able to keep in touch with me after Katrina. i actually wanted one before then but i hate spending my own money without a damn good reason. that was a damn good reason. so now i'm addicted and phones are the only things i buy without thinking about it. lol...i will wear clothes for 5 years with no prob but i buy a new phone every 3 months. i have a problem. >__<

1.) 13, A month before I started freshman year of high school.
2.) I got it because I needed a way to contact my parents. Starting high school, and walking there constantly, they wanted to know if I was okay. Also starting that year I started going out more often than I did previous years.

1. I got my first phone when I was like 10 or 11. A month before I started middle school.
2. Idunno, I guess my parents got it to keep in contact with me or something lols. I rarely used it at the time too haha.

I didn't get mine till i was well past 20...
My family bought it cuz they said they couldn't get a hold of me when they needed something.
haha I've been lugging it around for 3 years, charging every other week... still find it useless.

The cellphones nowadays are small & cute... the ones like 20 years ago were chunky! Who would wanna carry around something the size of a brick? Not to mention the pricey call/minute plans...

because my grandma was always on my home phone and i go out late so they can call it and find me =D
