I'm 5'8.. and I think i've wished all my life to be 5'5.. or 5'6.. I really hate being this tall! Shorter girls can pull of the cute vibe... (tall girls fail miserably at being "cute").. they can wear heels and not see the top of everyones heads.. GRR.. and guys like shorter girls.!! (cuz of the desire to protect the girlw hich translates to small-ness Haha) Iono if its just me, but all of the more popular celebs seem to be on the shorter side. UGH i feel so lost.. I can't doa nything to reduce my height.. =(

I like how people who are the height i want to be always call themselves short and want to be my height. I'mn always like.. OMFG.. !! u don't wanna be my height.. u get no men~

OKAY.. for the purposes of this topic. I'll say:

<5'3 = on the shorter side
5'3-5'6= medium height
5'7+ = tall

For me.. I'd kill be be 5'5-5'6!!!

well i guess if you are shorter its easier to go taller cos you can wear heels but you cant go shorter if you are tall.

And 5.8" is not too tall to find a many easy at all. I noticed men are averagly around 5.11-6.1ft, at least around my parts. So I have a lot of "taller" girlfriends, that get guys really easy! And I have have "shorter" ones that get just as many guys.

It's all about confidence, that's what attracts guys

I can relate. I'm 5'8half (174 cm) and I wished that I was shorter (medium height).
Main reasons: I'm one of the tallest Asian girl that I know of. A lot of Asian guys seem to be shorter then me and even then, they still go for shorter to medium height girls. I can't wear heels, because it makes me even more gigantic when I'm with Asian people, but then again, I really can't wear heels (since I never wear them). I also have (too) long limbs with the Asian skinnyness, so clothes usually do not fit me right (too short) and I dislike shopping.

But since I can't change my height, I just make the best of it. Just work the height!
I actually do think tall girls can do the 'cute vibe', just not the usual cute vibe. It usually changes into 'cute sexy/sophisticated' vibe I suppose, because tall girls usually also have longer limbs.

They are Western celebrities, that's different. Asian female celebs are usually short to medium height.
But the confidence-part is true.

well no of course not. thats not what i meant. the runway modeling industry is highly competitive and extremely demanding with all aspects of it laying within a person's looks. an important key component of it is being tall hence my mentioning of tall models.

i think 5'3" to 5'6" is definitely the best height... i'm 5'0"... too short is NOT fun. the only guys who hit on me are short guys.

even though you think you are too tall to attract guys, the guys that you WILL attract will probably be taller than you. confidence girl!

and if you can't pull off the cute look... don't. try the mature look. personally, i go for the cute style, cuz i don't have the body for more mature stuff and i'm short, so it looks like a lil girl trying on her momma's clothes.

if you go for the mature, cool, sexy vibe... you'd just attract more confident men. instead of agonizing over your height, make the most of it since its not something you can change.

and wear heels girl... just because you are tall and don't want to be taller than the guys, if it makes YOU happy, than wear them. but if you think 3 inch heels are too tall, try 1 inch or 2 inch heels.

my frend is like that. shes like 4'11" ? or 5' ? anyways. we love wearing knee high socks, and one day we bought the same type/style of socks.. they were tube socks. it went to my mid calf, while it went to her thigh. LOL

I'm short. I don't mind being short or height, I think what a person really needs is good proportion (like Amuro Namie who's 5'2-5'3 and is 7 heads tall) God I wish I had that proportion.


Like vanessa hudgens she's short and she has.. horrible proportions. o_O or at least I think so.

But be glad of your height, you can at least have a body of a model while most short girls can't even dream of it (they can get skinny but they can't have the height!)

You know, your height only plays a small factor. Guys are just intimidated.
A confident guy wouldn't mind asking a girl out, regardless if he was shorter than her or not...

Being on the shorter side is no different than being tall.
My sister & I are both petite... but she can really land some cute guys, even tall dudes.
I have no skills in that area -- let's put it like that.
The difference between us is that she's confident & has a nice personality that seems to attract guys like magnet, even the ones that say they prefer medium height girls.

You just have to be more confident! and probably need to ask around for the places where tall guys out. haha j/k

Thai has some pretty tall & popular actresses. Pancake Khemanit Jamikorn is about 5'9...
IMO most of the actresses we see in videos are medium height cuz the men can't really carry a tall girl.
