Painter Ding Yi Ming and dancer He Li shares the same passion for art and therefore were united in marriage. But He Li chose to pursue a greater level of dancing. She abandoned her husband and three years old daughter Ding Xiao Han and went to London for further studies. In the hardship of a foreign country, He Li gave birth to He Fei.
Eighteen years later, Xiao Han who grows up under the love of her father is genial, cheerful and elegant; however He Fei who has no one to depend on has a cold character.
Yang Rui return to his country and meet Xiao Han. Xiao Han loves Yang Rui's easy-going personality and his bright smile. Yang Rui is touched when he sees Xiao Hao hiding her illness because she only wants to bring happiness to the people around her. In order to let her father enjoy his old age without worries, she takes on multiple jobs and enjoys working hard, making full use of each day. Not long after, Yang Rui is reunited with his childhood sweetheart He Fei and they rekindle their love. Yang Rui is tolerant of He Fei's proud character and her consuming love for dancing.
A major London musical is looking for leading actor and actresses. Xiao Han and He Fei are the main rivals for the role of the leading actress. He Li returns to her country at this time and tries to find her missing husband and daughter in order to make up for not fulfilling her role as mother to both her daughters. But will they be able to accept her? Jealousy can make a person lose her reason. He Fei loses control and pushes Xiao Han down the stage, causing Xiao Han's illness to worsen. Artist Ding Yi Ming and dancer He Li fell in love and hence married. They had a daughter Ding Xiao Han. A well-known dance troupe in England heard of He Li's talent in dancing and invited her to further her dancing there. To pursue a higher degree in dancing, He Li abandoned her husband and 3 year old daughter, and went to England alone. She then gave birth to another daughter He Fei in that foreign land. 18 years later, Ding Yi Ming still is a relatively unknown artist and Xiao Han who live alone with her father graduated from middle school. Despite going into a top university with great results, she dropped out in a year as she was detected to have an slow eye illness. Although He Fei was born in England, she was sent back to Beijing to attend boarding school and learn dancing when she was just 10. She and Ding Xiao Han fell in love with rich male Yang Rui simultaneously and Yang Rui was struggling with his decision. Musical"Turandot" had chosen He Fei to be their female lead but the fortnight before the performance, He Fei's stomach pain struck and she couldn't make it on stage. The production crew quickly got understudy Xiao Han to replace her and Xiao Han unexpectedly went onto the grand stage. Just when she was about to stun everone, she found her vision going blur, she was turning blind... He Li returned to the country due to this musical and she found her daughter and husband. In the end, the family reunited.

But the Mainland has many dramas like during the Shanghai period, or drama of different time periods that I want to try. So I slowly hope to pick my script here in the Mainland and focus my career here.

My role in this drama is unlike those I have challenged before. In the drama, I am called Ding Xiao Han and a dancer. Because my mom loves dancing too much, she abandoned me and my father to go to New York. There she gives birth to my sister. Actually I love dancing since young and am very talented in this area. But I have an illness that causes my eyes to slowly go blind. My family also does not have the money to let me learn dancing. Actually there are many situations like this in our generations, including the men at my sister’s side. It’s not a dreamy idol drama. It’s a drama on life and situations.

My role is more complicated compared to the one I have done before. Because they hope that he looks like a normal person, someone very sunny and cheerful.
