I admit, I'm addicted to personality tests. In fact, I've always tried to understand myself more, and to find the reason why am I so interested in understanding myself, if that really makes any sense sweatingbullets.gif . Well, the other day I stumbled upon this website called mypersonality.info and got my personality categorized into INFP (they call people with this type of personality The Dreamer, lol XD). Basically, INFP means Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving, so I'm an introvert who is very private, introspective and artistic. It's just really interesting because I realized that I'm almost exactly like how they described me. There're even message boards for people with the same personality type to chit chat with each other, which is pretty cool. Of course, people are much more complex than that, but the core personality can be quite standard.

So has anyone ever heard of this MBTI test? What's your take on it? You can actually try going to MyPersonality to try their test and post the result here if you like, it can be fun to see. Here's my result:

I didn't like some of the questions. I really felt like I applied for both.

eg/ 38 I get energized by
exploring theories learning facts

Fits me rather well, actually, after reading about it.

BUT I AM DEFINITELY NOT INSENSITIVE crazy.gif

I'm sweet, warm-hearted, loving, and kind.
That's me.

It's quite normal actually because yeah, when I did the test, I felt like I can actually fit both just like you did too. I guess it just depends on which one would you do more.

I had my friends took the test just for fun and for some parts, it's quite true, but of course, they're still themselves biggrin.gif.

This topic has come up on Soompi . Been a while since the last time, though, I think.

I had to take it twice in school. First time I was INTJ. Second time I was INTP. Pretty accurate in both cases, 'cause the first three are all accurate and I think I'm more J sometimes and more P others but more P overall. It's hard to fit people into neat little categories. Still interesting though.

Edit: Yeah, INTP again. I found it harder to choose between the two choices most of the time than I remember it being in early high school, though. I'm more in the middle in some ways now, like I'm less judgemental and more extraverted than I used to be. Apparently only 1% of females are supposed to be INTP. sleep.gif Not that it's bad, just...unusual I guess. INTJ is even rarer, especially for women. It's kind of cool how some types are much more common than others. None of the "intellectual" types are very common. So many types are like 3% of the population supposedly. And wow, INFJ is only about 1%.

Some of the quoted descriptions are pretty accurate, more so than others.

QUOTE
"INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to most anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves."
- INTP Profile (TypeLogic)

QUOTE
"likes solitude, not revealing, unemotional, rule breaker, avoidant, familiar with the darkside, skeptical, acts without consulting others"
- Jung Type Descriptions (INTP) (similarminds.com)

Both true.
QUOTE
They like being the architect of a plan, because of the scheming and thinking involved, far more than being the implementer of that plan. Implementation tends to be drudgery. They are content to sit back and think about what might work, given their view of the situation.

Ugh so true! I waste too much time thinking about how I would do something and have trouble making myself actually do it. dry.gif
Hey, look! Finally a different signature after all these years!

But I guess it's pretty true...
The multiple-personality one, I'm kinda surprised about =O I thought I'd be more verbal or naturalist rather than kinesthetic >_>
Oh wells ^^ my ENTJ wasn't surprising at all... but my entroversion is uber high...
