this is definitely true. my sister started using that about a year ago and now they are brown. she used to have straight white teeth, and now they are gross... apparantly the dentist linked it to over-flossing, lol.

Thank you soo much for this. I'm not a huuge fan of mouthwashes, but every now and then I will buy a bottle. Now I know to stay far far away from this stuff. I don't have to worry about the toothpaste, thank goodness (my mom exclusively uses Colgate so we don't have anything else in our home).

(I'm also glad that this didn't happen to you too. Cause that's what I thought when I clicked the thread).

OMG, I was wondering about this!

I use it, and I'd read something about this before. So recently I noticed the back of my teeth (my front teeth, top and bottom) are BROWN. I used a mirror to look at them into another mirror. I thought they were rotting or something... the fronts are pearly white because I've used Crest White Strips and I floss/brush all the time. So I was totally confused.

I've been really worried and hoping they weren't going bad, and Ive been really paranoid about them feeling sensitive. Thanks for posting this!

I won't use it anymore.

Wow totally didn't know that!

I don't use it (I use Scope), but definitely thanks for the heads up!

that sounds like a load of bull. i use the pro health mouthwash and my teeth are the whitest shade that they make porcelain crowns from! and no, i haven't bleached my teeth or even touched it up recently. there are perio mouthwashes that can discolor teeth, but WITH GOOD BRUSHING HABITS it won't affect your tooth shade.

i say, if your mouthwash is discoloring your teeth, check your brushing habits! get a rotadent or sonicare.

My sister and mom have been using it for months/years and their teeth aren't stained.
