the title says it all i am i senior now in HS and my mom is crazy.. i was wondering if anyone here has went through with it.. i need to rant.. my mom is officially effing crazy.. one minute she feels bad for yelling at me buys me clothes and some other stuff next minute shes yelling her head saying she's gonna kill me (all said in korean). One night i came home at 8:30... 8:30!!!! i have been home later than that.. and she went nuts.. she started to threaten me saying she'll beat me senseless before i go to college.. saying stuff like how if i act like this now im gonna be a rainbow in college blah blah.. honestly not to be stuck up or anything.. i think im a pretty good daughter.. im an honor student i pay for my own expenses including sat's and act's etc.. i can cook i clean the house do the dishes.. etc im the pres. of my youth group and she thinks im the most stuck up slutty daughter on the planet... ;; thank you reading this i know its long i needed to vent wooo

Yeah I know how to feel when I was in Senior year of high school. In fact I had a couple of friends whose mothers were like that also. Except their mothers are even more strict and pissy about their grades and stuff. Luckily my mom didn't really care much
But yeah, many mothers have the "empty nest syndrome" especially when their kids head off to college. It just doesn't feel the same without their kids coming home everyday from school...So I guess your mom is moody because she couldn't accept the fact that you're heading off to college? Also, she might also be very worried whether you'd get into the college you want to, and etc.

Lol. That's what I was thinking. Man my mom always used to go nuts on me when I was in highschool. I hated her but as time went by she doesn't just see me as a little kid anymore. Maybe it's weird for her. Maybe she feels like she's losing control of you since you're going off to college?

michin ummadul is right... i was in a similar situation senior year of high school, don't stress it too much... it's most likely because she really loves you and is scared about you going away.

my parents started to freak senior year of high school... I had straight A's in high school, got one B second semester and they tried to completely end my life essentially... turns out they were just concerned, scared about me leaving, and sad.

They did tell me "you can major in anything you want in college, go to wherever you want, we'll support you. So long as you major in pre-med and go medical, go for a law degree, major in engineering, or get a degree in chemistry or biology. And you need to get scholarship regardless of where you go."

Showed them up with a full ride scholarship, but sheesh... anything you want so long as it's one of these =P

I'd say just acquiesce for the rest of the academic year, get good grades, get into a good college...and shove it in her face.

Wow, this happened to me too during my senior year, the last 3 months specifically, my mom went PSYCHO. She was on my @$$ for everything XD; Well... you're gonna miss her, her cooking, and your home/bed, especially if you're gonna dorm, no matter how much you complain now. It's okay, she's just going through some emotional stuff.

Your mum's just a normal Asian mum -- the rest of us have it as bad as you do... Even my dad was getting crazy, like he cut off internet and programmed our computers so that it can only log on to the internet from 6-9pm or something like that. Once I was studying for SATs and I took a break to watch my one TV show that I absolutely love (House, M.D.) and he wouldn't let me see it. One hour show that only shows once a week and he wouldn't let me see it
