But honestly am I the only one whose noticed how international fans of kpop have become lately?
I remeber back when international fans didn't even care or know what or whose fan club was called what in Korea, I can't even name H.O.T's fan club or BabyVox' fan club or balloon color or any of the stuff that I'm sure they had lol, and now it seems as if international fans believe they're apart of these fan clubs and are bent on holding up some kind of reputation.
I mean theres nothing wrong with being IN a fan club but really when you start acting a certain way just to uphold some reputation of it, it's just...eh..
Maybe it's just me but that seems really corny, what the hell kind of fan club has a 'reputation'? lol I know SUJU fans have always had a bad rep. even in Korean media because of their extreme actions, but I'm not talking about those sort of fan clubs, just normal ones..not huge cult-like ones.
I mean when did this start? lol, sure fan clubs have shown us in the past year that they can infact become organized and literally kill entire concerts when they want to, but that is nothing to get all.....nutty about as Intl. fans.
It just seems a bit silly to me.
I think international fans need to learn their place again, we're outsiders, we don't make a difference IN korea, and nothing you say here is going to turn a whole other fan club on you or whoever your choose to be a fan of, lol. Nothing you say here is going to put your idols or favourite singer at risk for a anti fan attack or boycott, whatever.
Korean fan clubs really couldn't care less about international fans.
Theres really no need to be so annoying and watch everything you say simply because you're scared of what some international fans, like yourself think of 'your' fan club. The only reason anyone here should be watching what they say is to follow the rules of Soompi, not to try to potray some corny ass reputation that a fan club all the way in Asia is 'known' for.
Korean fan clubs are becoming way too organized for their own good.
And international fans are becoming way too caught up in their cult-like fan culture.
Hope I made myself clear here..I tend to ramble about crap like this.
What do you guys think?
