this is how i asked my girlfriend out !

im the teacher's aid for 2nd period, and the class is student commission (or student council), and i'm really close to everyone in the class because i've been in myself for so long, just not this semester. and the way our school day is run, is like 1st 3rd and 5th period one day, 2nd 4th and 6th another. and 4th period is the actual class for student council, which she is in, so during second period, my friend and i set up 6 balloons (purple is her favorite color) all around the class room, each one having something written on it (you , are , my , everything), and on the end of the string on each one, was a puzzle piece with a word (will , you , be , my , girlfriend?).




and the pieces if put together made ...



so when she came into class, she gathered them all together and put it together. it was funny cause the last piece that said "girlfriend?" as tied onto a string that was shorter compared to the other ones so she had to jump for it.

I don't think asking someone out has to be romantic, really. Those things should be saved for much later in the relationship when you actually do love each other. Otherwise it can feel like too much all at once.

With my girlfriend it was pretty much a mutual thing and no one asked out the other.

I think the cutest way someone asked me out was during valentines and prom.

Well, long story short, I guess he found out what my fourth period was during high school so on Valentine's day, he decided to pile up my desk with gifts. I remember walking into class, seeing balloons, a teddy bear from build a bear, roses, chocolate, and a card from him sitting on my desk. I remember looking at the desk and said to myself, "wow, what a lucky girl. Her boyfriend decorated her desk! *jealous*" I didn't even realize it was my desk until I walked closer to it. I was like, .... o_o .... O_O *shocked* . It was cute.

And then prom.... same guy asked me out. I was sitting in english when the attendance office called me down. I was scared sh*tless because I've been ditching class a lot, so I thought they'd wanna talk about my absenses. Then, I opened the door to the attendance office and the office lady gave me a huge box and a dozen of roses. I was like.... O_O *confused* "Is it my birthday or something?" Then I opened the box and it said "Will you go to prom with me? Love, ____" written on a big huge cake. I was pretty darn shocked.
Sad to say, I never went out with him. I had crazy strict parents during high school so I never went on a date with him. Plus, I only saw him as a friend, nothing more. We're pretty good friends now. But I felt totally bad, I wanted to give him those things back but he wouldn't let me. =/

He planned a really big goodbye dinner for me because I was leaving for college, and I knew he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend that day.
When I showed up, my friends said he wasn't there, and after texting him and calling him, he said he had to take his dad to the hospital. I believed him because it sounded pretty serious. At first he said he would come late, but he ended up saying he wasn't going to come at all. So I was super disappointed.
