i've been really good friends with this one girl. we hang out sometimes and she considers me one of her best friends. i heard all that it was bad to be best friends and everything but it didn't really matter since i just liked having her as a friend. but recently i started liking her and she quickly went out with this one guy and they broke up. and she just said she likes this other guy so i'm just wonder if i should tell her i like her myself. hehe again opinions welcome

I think you should go for it, however YOU need to weigh the consequences. I am essentially saying, that you will have to be willing to risk your great friendship to confess to her. I say this for most relationships (Friendships) fail when there is attraction added to the formula. Anyways, it's your call, for all you know she may like you also.

But from what I'm getting, this girl likes someone else? and that person is not you?
Then why would you tell her that you like her then? Confessing is the worst thing that could be done. I mean, confessing and asking the actual question is different
If you told her you like her, there would be some awkwardness between you two, and your friendship just won't be the same really.
Imagine this. A girl likes you, but you don't like her, but she told you that she likes you. Obviously you'l just say "be friends". But I'm sure you'll leave her alone soon enough, coz if she be with you all the time, she's gonna feel sad coz she can't be with you. While if you leave her, she will feel really sad, but that feeling is gonna be gone.

I guess that's the same in this case. So if that's what you really mean, then it's like going to suicide lol.

And one thing to note, once you are friend zoned, it's really hard to get out of it. And if you're best Friends, pretty obvious you're already friend zoned i guess...

very good advice there I think, and If you weigh the consequence, it's much more worth it to just be friends with her, coz she clearly say she likes another guy. And trust me, when a girl already likes one guy, oh boy it's gonna be hard to change her mind. So It's like 10% chance for you right now. Unless that guy she's talking about is you.

but you have to look at this position from a cynics point.
luckily you have me.

so my first question would be. have you done anything to make her think you like her?
because if she just wants to be friends and realizes you might ask her out, she could have went out with the guy and said that she likes another guy all in order to keep you from asking her. not saying she doesnt like you. just that shes not ready to switch from best friends to bf.
are you understanding what im saying? cause if you do, you have to realize that once you ask, you could be risking this friendship.
