Well it happened a while ago and I didn't get in trouble for it but I was thinking about it today and I'm not sure what I did was right.

I was driving down a residential area to school and the posted speed limit was 35 mph. I was going around 40-41 mph so I didn't think it was that big a deal. There were also 2-3 cars behind me following pretty closely so they must have gone near the same speed I was. Well, I was driving and I saw this car on the other lane that just stopped and had its headlights on. I thought it was weird that it wasn't moving or anything.

As soon as I pass it, the sirens lit up and I saw it was a police car. Naturally, I stop on the road because there was no place to pull over and all the other cars had to stop as well. From what I saw in my rear view, the police car was attempting to make a K-turn in a limited amount of space. Meanwhile, the other lane was blocked by an ambulance and a mini-fire truck that came but they didn't have their lights or sirens on. Some cars coming from the other side manuevered their way around the cars (since it wasn't an emergency) to get pass the obstruction area so I did the same. Since I was the first car in line, I drove straight and out of the residential area.

There were cars behind me and I couldn't really see out of my rear view after that. I don't know if the last car in the line got a ticket or not. Last thing I saw was the police car either making a K-turn or entering a driveway.

At first I thought that the police car was making a drug bust or something because its a pretty rural area and it was coincidence that it turned its sirens on as soon as I passed it. But looking back, I wonder if I was supposed to get a speeding ticket or something.

Any ideas?

^

Yeah me neither.
But the sirens lit up the exact moment I passed it so I thought since I was a little over the speed limit that I would get a speeding ticket.

I hope what I did wasn't illegal or anything.

i think you should leave the country. stay down in mexico for a couple of weeks until the dust settles.
that cop is probably looking for you as we type.

that is a good way to evade the police. i will try it some time, thanks

pretty sure you'll be fine. dont know about you guys but here they do this thing where one guns you and the other goes out into the road, on foot, in front of you to make you stop. well one day, at a light in a school zone, my friend decides hes going to race some kid. my friend is a dumbass as it is obviously, so out comes a cop strolling in front of them and neither one stops so this cop is in the road and these cars go past him on either side at like 80 and no one stopped. poor and stupid cop could have died. but he never got busted for that so you should be good, and you can easily bs your way out. obviously you cant even say for sure speaking honestly here if he was after you or not, so why would you have stopped?

You didn't get stop so you're fine. The cop doesn't have your registration, driver's licensed number or anything. The only thing he could possibly have is your licensed plate but you can bs your way out. ex: I wasn't driving my car that day, my car got stolen, etc. You're be fine. If he was in fact going after you, job well done avoiding that ticket haha

something like this happened to me a few days ago. I was in the left turn lane and all of a sudden this police car lit up the siren lights and just cut me off. he drove to the intersection and stopped beside another police car and i wasn't sure if I was suppose to stop or something cause it looked like they were blocking the road.

but I kinda squeezed my car through and kept going, but when i looked back all the cars behind me all stopped...
