I've never been pulled over before ...
But my BF seems to have the WORST luck!
& honestly it always seems like it's the cops fault.

==

1. We were heading to Salem, we were going THE SAME EXACT SPEED as everyone else,
suddenly some cop jumps in front of our car (WTF? Do you want to die?) My BF slams on the breaks
I'm like flung forward in my seat, and we pull over into that pass thingie (it was a high-way)
The cop is SOOO RUDE like, screaming, yelling, didn't even tell us what we did wrong, didn't
state his name, no common procedure. He says "john teshing give me your license and registration" .. now my BF is
Korean, and he doesn't understand English 100% .. and like screaming does not help the matter, so I give
the guy the registration + his international drivers license. The guy says "What the john tesh is this? I need your license"
... So I said "That is his license" ... so he looks it up, and .. then he like gives him a ticket ... no explanation .. so we
ask "What is the ticket for?" he starts yelling again telling us to get out of here, and if we don't we'll get arrested.
We look at the ticket as we're leaving ... 80 in a 55 (it was a highway aren't they usually 65?!) 400$ ... 200 for speeding
.. 200 for being an unregistered student WTF IS THAT?? He goes to school! ?? He has a Visa and an I-20??! What??

2. It was 5AM - He was coming to my house, maybe 5 min away. He was going 40MPH ... when he sees some guy
riding his ass, so he speeds up a little, to 45 ... then slows back down, the guy speeds on his ass again, ... 45 ..
again then back to 40 .. then he does it a 3RD TIME!! so my BF goes to 50 .. then the "guy" puts on lights, it was a cop.
He gives my BF a ticket ... 50 in a 35 .... I see the ticket and ask where EXACTLY he was pulled over we go there,
the spots right in the middle of 2 45MPH signs! WTFFFFFFFFFFF?? We go to the police station to have to fixed and they
tell us to go to court. ITS UR MISTAKE, FIX IT DUMB ASS!!

---

Now we have 2 court dates, Wtf. He doesn't have money to pay, ha. Like his parents are working hand and foot in Korea
to send him/keep him here. American police aren't going to F it up. Any tips?

second one... if you go to court it might get thrown out, just show that the street your boyfriend was pulled over had a speed limit of 45mph. On the first one, the unregistered student part will get dismissed, just show that your boyfriend has the international license again in the court.

Its hard to judge the scenarios since I'm only hearing it from your side of the story... Every police officer has different standards, I, for example don't pull over speeders if they're not over 15mph on highways and 10mph over on city streets. I'm sure you can fight it, even though if you win, you'll still pay for the court fees though... good luck..

Was goin 120 on the freeway at like 2am 'cause I was bored...
Cop came...gave me the ticket without any incident, and then left.
I went to court and he didn't show up. Normally a cop would for this kind of citation...I guess I was lucky.
Yay!

Usually when a cop tailgates you, it's a sign not to speed up because once you do they will get you. It never happen to me but I've seen it happen to a couple of people I know and around my street it happens all the time. Usually when a cop does this to me I just go exactly the speed limit so he can't do anything and sometimes I even hit the break lightly. One time I hit the brakes hard lol cause he was tailgating me like crazy he swerve and nearly miss me. I was just like "f" it at that time just let him hit my car. I recorded his licensed from my rear view mirror and was ready for him to hit me but he miss. He then put on his siren and just speed off in a 25mph zone.

Yeah, I know, but like it's 5AM... Dark, so like it might be some wacko you know? He was going 40
because he didn't want a ticket (My town's known for ticketing anyone if it's the night; since they're
usually bored as heck) ... but like yeh, I think it should be thrown out (even though he as 5MPH for
like ... 5 secs) because the cop's a dumbass ... he doesn't even know the speed limit on the roads.

Yeah. My Ex-BF's friend almost got arrested in Maine (ehhh) for going 100 on the highway at 2AM
I was in the car too; but was sleeping because I had a 9am flight to Japan. == We were heading
back to Massachusetts. Thank God he wasn't arrested; ... if I didn't catch that flight, OMG.

I've never gotten pulled over by a cop yet (knock on wood) but I came pretty close. I was driving from San Francisco down to San Diego and I was on that really long stretch of I-5 that's a straight road for hundreds of miles (it's really boring because the scenery doesn't change at all for 3-4 hours). The speed limit there is 70mph but I was going 90mph (everyone else was going around 80). I just passed people that were going slower than me but I wasn't cutting people off or being rude. There was this one car that refused to go faster BUT wouldn't let me pass him either. The car was sort of toying with me by going back and forth between two lanes to keep me from passing and one time I was very close to hitting them because they slowed down really suddenly so I honked my horn. The person got mad and slowed down to 60mph and everyone was stuck behind that one car because there are only two lanes and the other was occupied by large tankers. After 20 cars were tailgating them he went faster and I was so frustrated that I just sped really fast to pass the car and I saw a cop on the side of the highway from the corner of my eye. I flipped out and slowed down after I passed the car -- I seriously thought I was going to get a ticket but I was lucky.

On a random note, how is speed enforced by aircraft? It's not like they can pull you over since it's an airplane -- do they just identify your car and mail the ticket or something? My friend says it's a load of bull to scare drivers but I don't know...

wow...pulled over by an airplane? ... ..sigh

what that sign means is that your speed is being tracked by an airplane and the plane notifys the CHPs in the area you are traveling in.
so if you're driving and you randomly get pulled over by a CHP officer, you now know why you're getting a speeding ticket even if he wasn't around to see you.

Showing two friends of mine the new genesis coupe. Drove and redline through a few gears. Cop was up ahead and heard me. I passed him and he stopped at a u turn lane because he saw i was making a u turn up ahead. I saw him and immediately turned into a little parking lot. Thank God the parking lot had a small rear road that went around him tongue.gif
