but during the holidays i sometimes get like ... 10 or 11 hours ? O_______O
{ i sleep really late & wake up during the afternoon .. }
so i know how not sleeping enough gives you dark under-eye circles & eye-bags,
but does OVERSLEEPING have any effect on your physical appearance?
are there any effects at all? apart from being sluggish & drowsy ..

But yeah overall, try not to oversleep. The slugginess and grugginess is not worth it at all. Sometimes, you even wake up feeling a lot more tired than rested

I picked one up the other day and i read that according to a recent medical study oversleeping(sleeping more than the average sleeping time for your age) can actually shorten your life by 7 years
too much sleep=shorter life span D: ~ ?!
i read some stuff in the internet about it too.
personally im a night person (vampire^^ jk), and i sleep for about 7 hours, sometimes less ><
but i have lazy days when i sleep in for like almost 12 hours , i wont be doing that anymore.
AHHHH~ don't want to die early

but when I oversleep randomly (i.e. after like a week of regular sleep or no sleep at all), I feel ever more tired and lethargic

Gees, you scared me when you said that! You actually made me google it to find out more info.
you should read this article:

Don't know how reliable it is, but sounds interesting.

"Getting only five to six hours of sleep makes it hard to fight flab, according to researchers at Laval University in Quebec. But guess what? Too much sleep won't help shrink a muffin top, either."
Long Sleepers (9-10 hours) are...
-21% more likely to become obese than those who sleep 7-8 hours
-gained 94% more body fat than those who sleep 7-8 hours
-25% more likely to gain 11 pounds than those who sleep 7-8 hours
Short Sleepers (5-6 hours) are...
-27% more likely to become obese than those who sleep 7-8 hours
-gained 124% body fat than those who sleep 7-8 hours
-35% more likely to gain 11 pounds than those who sleep 7-8 hours
-----
so yeah...not sleeping enough seems to be worse, but oversleeping isn't that great either. i really thing 7-8 hours is the magic number. if i oversleep i feel sleepy still and fall asleep during lectures

I didn't know that oversleeping was bad for you, well exept for the slugishness after which i hate sine it makes me feel really tired for the rest of the day
I'm gonna try and stick to the recommended amount now
