I got a new Kingston Data Traveler USB, I first used it on my laptop. It worked fine and all, then I tried to plug it on my desktop.. It worked the first time, but teh second time and the next, it didn't. I plugged it back to my laptop and it's working again. WT.F? Is it just some kind of jinx and it's eventually work again the first time or do I have a lot stored in it that's why it wouldn't read? It hasn't even been two days since I got it.

Should I just buy an external hard drive instead of USB?
What's the pros and cons of external hard drive and usb's anyway?
No more signature, I'm tired.

the connector can be damaged or something
but otherwise it is very possible that its just broken. Extract your data and you can maybe try for warranty.
depending on how much data you have, a external drive might actually be a very good idea but you cant beat the portability of a usb flash drive.

Yea.. I also heard that kingston is one of the best but..grr.
I think i should go with ed because all i ever save is big big files of videos. USB may not be my friend.
Funny thing is my old usb is only 1 gb, it's verbatim and is very friendly and this new one is 4 gb and it's kingston but is not working well. Sad.

Do you still have problems with your flash on your computer?
It happened to me too. It was because of the compatibility problem
because my computer was too old, so I got a new one.
That's why it works on your laptop, cause it's newer(I'm guessing).

Pros of External hard drive is that you can plug it into the computer
& leave it there stored(if your computer is the new editions)
and it can store more memory than a flash drive. However, ext. hard
drives are big and heavier than flash drives.

Pros of a flash drive is that it is lightweight, but the memory can't
beat the ext. hard drive.
