EDIT:

Anyways, since I got it out already, I feel relieved, but theres something else now ><
Like idk why, but my tooth next the the part where i had my wisdom teeth taken out, it hurts a little & and on that part of my tooth, the gums it looks kinda nasty like its been uhm idk how to explain, but it looks numb, but at the same time it looks like its torn a bit? & around that tooth, the gums, it seems like there are linings of a cut & it does hurt.
o_o idk, im getting a bit paranoid, i really dont want to get a infection.
but yea i have to wait til wednesday to see the oral surgeon.

------------------------

Okay, so I made a topic back a year ago or so about wisdom teeth, yea..

I finally had mine taken out a few days ago, on Wednesday, but only one side which is on my right side, upper & bottom.

I was wondering if it accidentally bled & dried (I had no idea until I looked at it), would it be okay?
& there is something yellowish & whitish too, is that how it looks like when it's healing?
& like if food gets stuck, how do you guys get it out?...cuz I kept trying, but I can't seem to get it out, it's irritating the poop out of me. ><
my brother told me if food gets stuck on the wound & it recovers, the food will get stuck inside & you have to cut up your gums again & w/e, is that true?

Sorry if I ask stupid questions, but I'm not perfect so I don't know everything, so please help me out by replying back nicely.
I need to know cuz I'm very irritated atm.

Thanks in advance :]

you're eating solid food?

I couldn't eat solid food until at least a week passed by. Mostly cause my gums were so swollen my teeth couldn't touch.
oh god the memories. I slept on the couch for three days cause i couldn't put my head back.

if you're really concerned, go back to your doctor and have it checked out.

try rinsing with your mouth wash that was provided and swish the food out. it could also just be your gums? or the stitching? most likely stitching. maybe that's what the yellowish whitish thing is.

Mkays, so I just got mine done 2 weeks ago (ON HALLOWEEN, what a bummer). So I didn't swell AT ALL and I healed really well, but after a few days, I felt like I had gotten some food stuck in one of the holes (since it felt different than it had before the meal). What I did was I called up my ortho surgeon people and asked them if I could go in just for a quick check, and I went in the next day. TURNS OUT IT WAS JUST A PIECE OF MY GUM ;_; But for like. the entire day before, I had been rinsing my mouth like craaaazyyy 'cause I'd thought it was food =_=

I didn't bleed after the first few hours, so if you're still bleeding a bit, you should address that when you go to the dentist or whatever. It's bad to leave food in there because you could get an infection (which really sucks <____<;;) so yeah.

When i got my wisdom teeth out, my dentist to rinse my mouth with warm water and salt.
As for the gums growing around the food.. i'm not sure, just try the salt water mix, it really
works well smile.gif

mm..I got all 4 of mine taken out at once just this january. I didn't get any stitches either even tho they had to cut my gums open D'8

Mine was bleeding when I left the dentist so yeah x= and it stopped bleeding when I ate dinner. I ate solid food the first day XD; and continued eating solid food > w< (ate chips the second day >__>) I don't know about the yellowish whiteish thing your talking about tho, but if your really concerned go ask your dentist.

For countering infections or food getting stuck my dentist just told me to rinse my mouth with salt water. Don't..err rinse like you normally do? How you swish around back and forth from side to side, the force of it will open up the cut and make it bleed again. Just sorta, tilt your head back and swirl it softly from side to side to make sure you get the back part of your mouth where your wisdom teeth got taken out to make sure food isn't stuck there.

Oh and if food does get stuck in your gums, you could get an infection, so after you eat just rinse your mouth >w<;; not sure if its like..after it heals tho so yea.

Aha, but the first night, after I woke up the next day apparently I drooled..its hard to keep your mouth closed...so my pillow was all bloody > A<;;;

I've been eating pig blood porridge this week, today ate the same thing but I also ate this shrimp wrap thing but I ate it by chewing on my left side which my wisdom teeth aren't taken out yet, but prolly the food moved to my wounds? sleep.gif
I didn't get stitches though.
I tried rinsing already but I still cant take it out ><
So I don't know if its just my gums because earlier it wasnt there. ><
My check up isnt until the upcoming wednesday though.

Well, when I got up this morning, I looked again & it really seemed like something was stuck in my gums, so I tried to rinse it out again, but it didnt rinse out, so i tried picking it out & i did finally pick it out, but it wasnt something soft or from what i ate & i only ate porridge and the shrimp wrap thing & i had soup too, so idk how theres something stuck to my gums. It looks like a piece of my teeth crushed though o_o
But, what happens if it got infected, what do you do? How can you prevent your wounds from getting infected?

my gums were gross after too - but luckily it heals over time. don't worry, at least your orthodontist didn't leave a shard of bone, like mine did.
