So,
I have this problem with sweating too much. My dad has this problem too.
I don't sweat 24/7 like him though, just when i'm hot or nervous.

Example: One day, I challenged my crush to a thumb war. Everything was going swell. Then the game lasted longer than I expected and I started to get a bit nervous..

him: -pulls hand away- Dude, your hand is wettt! mellow.gif
me: .....Pft. YOUR hand is the one that's wet!

After 5 minutes my hands are dry; I regain my confidence and demand a rematch, lol. Theeeenn the same thing happens AGAIN. -__-

him: Your hand is like, soaked in sweat or something!
me: .. No it's not! D:

-____- How do I stop my excessive sweating? D:
Btw, sorry If there's already a topic like this. ><

just leave the pieces on the floor.

Do you drink alot of water?
Cause maybe your body has alot of salt or something.
YOu need to drink water to take the salt out.
But remember, not too much cause we need salt in our bodies
blahblahblah

there's a condition called hyperhydrosis (webmd it, i'm not making it up). your doctor can prescribe something called drysol, or there are some weird treatments for it and also a surgery. if you're not into doing all that... try getting an OTC product called dry idea. put it on your hands at night before you go to sleep and see if that helps.

My friend used to sweat excessively. She was on the basketball team and every practice she'd sweat like crazy! She had her own towel and it was always soaked. One time, she stood outside to cool off during practice and there was steam coming off of her mellow.gif.

I suggest you talk to your doctor, there might be something going on with your glands.

Maybe you're just nervous.

It's normal.

It might be a phase. I sweated excessively when I was in 8th grade, and that was the only year for it.

I don't know what to say if it's all over o.o

its called Hyperhidrosis, where you get sweaty. Palmer Hyperhidrosis is for sweaty palms
there is treatment smile.gif

there are meds: medications such as Drysol, an astringent, which can be used to dry up the sweat glands.
and many oral meds you can get prescription for
you can go for a thoracic sympathectomy-an operation that was once complicated but has now become much easier due to the fact that it can be done endoscopically.

but.... its a bit extreme.. lol D:

dont worry, alot of people are in the same situation as you, just apply lotion alot smile.gif to make it seem like its lotion ? i dont know lol

-raises hand- i have that!

like kpxkimcheexyoja said, it's a condition called hyperhidrosis. i have it on my palms, my underarms, and the soles of my feet. NOTFUN. i went to my doctor about it and got that drysol thing, but it didn't work for me =T so i just stopped using it lol.

i recently started using secret clinical strength and that's done this much for me: ZERO. it's the same as any other antiperspirant for me, which i'm not surprised because if you look at the active ingredient, it's the same ingredient as some of secret's other antiperspirants, only it's concentrated at 20% whereas some of the other ones are at 19%. idk how much of a difference 1 percent makes, but in my case, it's not a lot.

just be thankful it's only when you're hot or nervous, cause that's usually when people sweat, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. i sweat pretty randomly, or if i just think about it, not only when i'm hot or nervous. you might actually grow out of it because i remember it being managable in elementary school, really bad in middle school, and now it's a tiny bit better. [: but for now just try to stay away from touching hands with anybody when yours are wet, or just explain hyperhidrosis to them. they're nice people, they'll understand. [: what's better is if you just tell them that your hand is wet before you touch them. takes the surprise out of it lmao.

Do not worry, you aren't the only one tongue.gif I've got the same problem and it's really annoying. I sweat when I'm nervous or hot too and most of the time I just sweat randomly. Ewww. Anyway, I've tried washing my hands and feet with cold water and soap; that usually helps.

Darn genes.

I have a friend who has really sweaty palms! i mean really sweaty as when she holds a piece of paper it gets all soaked and thats why she has to use a hanky to pick stuff like paper lol i'm not sure on any treatment but just don't think too much about it and maybe it'll go away lol

Yo bro am in the same boat as ya, antiperspirant never works (totally useless imo), meds work to a degree (side effects are insane) and surgery...(dont even wanna consider that). The only thing that i have had success with is iontophoresis machine, it hurts a bit but it totally eliminates hyperhidrosis.

Iontophoresis machine: $1300 AUD
Sweat Free: Priceless

Okay I know this doesn't help at all right now, but when he kept saying that your hand was sweaty you should've responded with "It's because you're so hot." wink.gif

Okay but on a serious note, yeah just try what others have suggested. My hands sweat a lot, but usually it's when I'm driving. sleep.gif

haha, I do too but I always can play it off as a joke. Like if I'm doing something like ping pong, then a hand a paddle over and its all sweaty, this is how it would go:

Other: Ewww, it's all wet.
Me: Yeah, I'm the retired ping pong national champion, so I take it seriously. I don't mess around. I think I lost like 20 pounds sweating.

If you can poke fun at yourself and do it well, its always a way out of things haha!

Even if you just say something like "Yeah, I didn't want to lose to you so my thumb hit the gym before the match!" haha

Potatoes.

Four shakes of salt (about 1,100 milligrams of sodium) and a small baked potato is the perfect recipe for electrolyte replacement. "The electrolytes, sodium and potassium, help maintain fluid balance in and around cells and make sure muscles contract as they need to," says Leslie Bonci, R.D.

From Woman's Health Magazine.
