I was wondering if cell phone insurance is worth it? You have to pay like 6 dollars every month. This issue has happened in the past. About last year, I got my Sidekick LX stolen and since I didn't have insurance I couldn't get another one. Now that my contract has expired I finally get a new phone ^-^ Yay! Lol And so I'm confused on whether or not I should pay the 6 dollars a month for insurance...

The amount covered by insurance are different, depending on the carrier.

Having said that, I had insurance on my cellphone with T-Mobile and I had to go through lot of red tape and nearly an hour on the phone with the insurance company, only to find out that they only covered $75.00. So, basically, they only are paying $15 because I've been pay $6 for 10 months. I wasn't happy because I was under the impression that they covered entire cost of my cellphone, I guess I didn't read the fine print.

I can't tell you not to get it but from my own experience, I won't get another cellphone insurance.

haha yeah not really worth it! only know 1 person who had it and turned out good for him cos he got a new and better phone replaced when he lost his old one!!

I have a tendency to lose/ kill my phone.. so I do get insurance for it, and it does cover the whole entire cost for me. I lost my LG Rumor, so Bell covered the whole cost and gave me a new one. Not sure about my new one though.. xD But I plan to take really good care of it.

depends on what kind of phone you have. if it's an LX, def. get insurance. i got both of my sidekick LXs stolen and i had insurance on both. it's much better. you don't want to be paying $3xx, right? if it's a nice phone, def. get insurance on it. if it's a crappy phone, then no.

If it's a nice phone, then I guess.. But if you like to switch phones every couple months or every year, then no. =/
