LOL. I totally feel you on that one. XD
The only reason I want to leave here is the "tension" on Obama winning is really high around here and, quite honestly, my parents are not paying all of this money for me to have to deal with worrying whether or not I'm safe from the freaking KKK (Or KKK wannabes)

a little homesick. :) and it's cheaper, i s'pose. i'm rather sick trying to scrape up money just to take exams i know i'll fail, writing papers about things i don't care about, and getting told that i suck at my artwork in a euphemism-like manner. ToT;; lol. i know i'll be doing the same things again but at least i won't be scraping up money for it. o__o;;; the college i'm transferring to is cheaper and harder too despite it's miniature size in comparison to the one i am currently attending...there's so many generals i have to take more. huuuu...
yup. that's me.

-It's a commuter school, meaning I don't have to live on campus. It's so helpful that I don't HAVE to live on campus or spend beaucoup $$$ on gas.
-It's only 20-30 minutes away.
-Tuition is cheap! With my financial aid, I only had to pay a difference of $100-$200 cause it covered so much! I really think there was no point in me applying to UCLA because I probably could not afford it anyways (not to mention I would not get in haha).
-Half of my classes have that "small classroom" feel. While talking to my other friends, I noticed that most of their classes are HUGE. While I'd enjoy the freedom of doing whatever I want in a lecture hall and not getting caught, I wouldn't learn anything.
-New friends :]
Anyhow, the point is: I enjoy it here! I didn't want the dorm experience anyways, so I really think this school is ideal for me. :]

although, I really wouldn't consider it safe.
haha... if you know what I mean.
Besides being harassed by homeless people
and crazy people in general, I actually like
Georgia State better than I thought I would.
I love the housing... compared to others.
There's always something going on.
Everything is within walking distance, or
I could easily get to it through MARTA.
This school has a good mix.
Pretty diverse school. = )

and safety ideal?? umm no, its not so much in the safe area....

My school, however, is also private (Methodist) university, but its really small (probably a little less than 2,000 students), and the tuition isn't over the roof. At first I wasn't too excited to go there because I was still upset that I didn't get into the other school, but it turns out pretty awesome!!

If your parents make less than $100,000 a year they give hella nice financial aid. I paid only $2,000 each semester and I think with each year you pay less cuz my older sister who was a senior last year only paid $1,500 a semester. This includes tuition and housing.

I applied to pretty much all the Cal States, I didn't really have much of a clue to what I was doing
I just knew that it was free. LOL but I only got to apply to 4 UCs.
Kinda wish I applied to more UCs, I probably would've choose a different school.
But...My safety schools were UCR and pretty much all the Cal States (esp. Sb, Humboldt, Pomona)
And my dream schools were Berkeley, UCLA and San Diego State.
In the end i got accepted at all my safeties, and denied at all my Dream Schools. I actually wanted to cry about the
Berkeley rejection.. still do.
When it came down to where i was going.. i didn't choose any of my safeties. Instead I picked UCSB...
I only applied there out of fun and when I got accepted I was like "okay doesn't seem too bad"
I guess in a way UCSB became my new dream school. Well.. for like the few months before I actually got there.
LOL I didn't know anything about the hardcore party reputation, I was so naive about it all. My first year I actually regretted picking
to go there instead of UCR. And the only reason I applied to UCR is because I'm from the area and I didn't really have
to make a full on transition.
All things said... I'm happy I choose UCSB over UCR., because it forced me out my comfort zone. Even if the first year was a nightmare and
almost cried everyday.

I pay $0 to go to North Carolina State University. My number one choice? No. Good school? Yes. Good price? absolutely! Park Scholarship is the reason I came here, and I'm enjoying it well enough, though it is really easy at times.
