What are the chances of an international Chinese student having an English name? I'm was kind of curious but not being Chinese I have no idea. I know that most of the Chinese kids in my city who were born in Canada, all have English names. Most also have a Chinese name but use their English name mostly.

Calvin, Ken(ny), Steven are pretty common.

I don't have specific girl names in my mind..but they usually end with -ie sound. Like -ly, -ie etc.

i've just noticed that a lot of ppl in my family & names of my friends who are asian..including my own..that a lot of asian ppl take english names that start with an A.

for example mine is An. [pronouced Ann]
i also go by Anna.
i also know 3 other Annas.
Then there's Angie, Amanda, another Ann, Angelina, Annie, Andy, Alex, Anthony, etc.
O_o
i love A names XD

Hmm.
I think that classic names are the majority.
Like my two younger cousins are named Diana and Claire.
And my older one in Canada is named Maggie.
My older brother's name is Peter..
And since my parents have, like, memory loss, they couldn't remember what they were gonna name me so they just called me June.
How creative.. Lol.
I have met a bunch of chinese Richards.
And a lot of Kevins, too.
And one named Harvard and his little brother named Princeton...
But I think they go with like the "classic" names.
Kevin, Jenny, Jason, Diana, Peter, Richard, Brian, etc.
