Which is the best exercise machine to buy for loosing weight throughout the whole body, especially the arms, thighs and belly fat...

I'm considering on buying either the treadmill, bicycle, or the elliptical, but I don't really know which one will give the best results.. any suggestions?

Also, are they all electric machines?

Thnx =D

treadmill or an elliptical, elliptical is more electric friendly, because you really dont need any electric to run one like a treadmill.
both are good. but im a treadmill girl, more than elliptical, but both works all in all to help lose body fat.

There is a thing called going outside and running, and another thing called skipping smile.gif.

yeah seriously... i wouldnt suggest buying a treadmill...thats a serious purchase right there. running outside is much more enjoyable. or mebbe try a health club for a month? they usually have like discounted trial periods dont they?

smiile - thanks for ur advice!! i'll consider it =)

i would go out and run if i can ... the point is i live in cold weather so it doesn't really allow me to ... thus i need a treadmill..
and second... i can't jump ropes inside my house... it's made out of wood =/
so i would definitely need a machine.

I have both an elliptical and a treadmill, and I'd say that the elliptical is definitely better.
Treadmills are good, but, for me, the impact on my knees when I run on it ends up making my joints really sore (because my legs pound down on the treadmill), and I feel less motivated to hop on the treadmill again the day after. Ellipticals are good in that sense, because you don't really get sore knees etc.

treadmill. FYI you can't spot train =). You can't lose fat only in certain areas. You should consider getting a gym membership, somewhere that has a pool too..swimming is really great cardio workout and it doesnt put stress on your back-that's important if you have scoliosis like me.

Treadmill, or Cycling.

If you want to eliminate over all body fat, then cardio is the way to go. And it's good for your heart too smile.gif

If you are serious abt losing weight you need to do some research abt dieting first. Secondly burning fat isnt abt hardcore exercise, rather its slow and steady exercise for a prolong peroid of time, ie walking on treadmill for 1hr at a faster than normal walking speed.
