Mirror's Edge is a first person action-adventure video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE). The game was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2008. A Windows version is in development.

The game was announced on July 10, 2007 and is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by DICE.[2] The game has a realistic, brightly-colored style and differs from most other first-person perspective video games in allowing for a wider range of actions—such as sliding under barriers, tumbling, wall-running, and shimmying across ledges—and greater freedom of movement, in having no HUD, and in allowing the legs, arms, and torso of the character to be visible on-screen.[8]

The graphics are unbelievable but the game itself is so frustrating @_@;;
I wouldn't recommend this to those who get sick easily since you're pretty much moving all over the place.

Anyone play this game?

I wouldn't recommend it for me, hah.....

Let's try that again.

I wouldn't recommend it for people who get angry easily. Faith does some silly stuff like not grab a ledge and fall to her shamed death.

I love the game, intriguing and different.

Seeing her fall is pretty awesome though XD (which is why I don't mind if it says FAIL over and over on my screen x:)

Not when she has failed to grab the same ledge for the seventh time.

I've played this game, but it sucks if you're lazy and don't have a guide D= and sure, the game probably isn't even like, "MAN I NEED A GUIDE LOL"-esque, but I'm the kind of gamer who religiously has a guide for like, everything. <3 not a bad game, but I'm not big on like, first-person anyway. Too weird.

I loved the game.

Yeah, it got frustrating at times, but I LOVE platformers, so as far as I'm concerned this was like an upgraded first-person Mario. I thought the story was good, but they should have made the game longer in order to elaborate on it; lord knows they had the extra time. This game was too short! <3

Anyways, after I beat it, the time trials became just plain addicting. If I hadn't gotten Animal Crossing for Christmas I'd still be playing the obstacle courses nonstop. ;D

It's a really great game. Only problems are: It's short, and there's no free roaming.

I just finished this for the PC.

I didn't have any problems with Faith (btw, super hot for a fictional character) grabbing ledges but that's probably because I'm using a mouse and keyboard, not a console controller.

A very unique game and I'm hoping to see a sequel to it. The only downside was that it was too short and the story was a bit hard to follow and a bit weak.

i was going to get it..
but it's more of a renter unless you're really intent on making people weep when they look at your time trial scores.
in other words the replay is really low, even with DLC.

new tracks? yaay?

ah i love this game
at first, it is extremely frustrating, i almost threw my controller straight into the screen
but once you get used to it, everything clicks, and it turns into this really addicting experience that flows quite well

it takes you back to the 2D side scrolling days where you have to retry a level many times until you finally get it

Mirror's Edge = Great game! ^.^*
The only complaint I had was the shortness of the gameplay and the frustration I got whenever I had to repeat certain courses over and over again because I kept on making slightest miscalculations when jumping from ledge to ledge. >.>

The keyboard control isn't too bad... But the first time I tried Mirror's Edge, I played it with a laptop. x.x Because of the mouse issue, I had to switch to my dad's computer to play it. I was surprised by how simple the controls were, like how most of Faith's actions while running only had up + down buttons. XD;

Overall, I enjoyed it. First person adventure was indeed an innovating idea. ;D
I'm just mildly sad that the new time trial pack would be PS3-exclusive. >.<
