its right next to a large shopping mall. parking is hectic sometimes.

my oldest sister goes to sfsu. i knew some other people who went there/do go there too. anyway...
yes, it's next to a mall -- except i wouldn't call it HUGE, it's just stonestown..it's also situated on 19th avenue, so yeah, traffic gets terrible, and there's been accidents. it's in a pretty good neighborhood, i'd say. muni buses get crowded during peak hours (morningish & after5ish). sfsu does provide shuttles though; to certain places, like daly city bart.
but yeah. neighborhood isn't bad...lowell high school is around that area, so expect a lot of young hs students going to stonestown during their free time.
they do have dorms, but some people prefer not to live in them and commute from another part of the city or something. parkmerced apartments are like, right next door -- expensive though. they have a farmer's market there once a week too; i forgot which days.
i applied and got in, but it wasn't exactly my school of choice so i didn't go. besides, i didn't want to stay in the city.
