I wasn't sure whether to post this in the 'food' section or here, but I decided on the latter because seems like it would be really useful to some people here (including myself, haha).

I'm not sure if there is already a topic like this either - so if there is, I'm sorry - feel free to close!

anyways, what are some of your favorite healthy snacks and/or recipes?

usually just fruits and vegetables.

a good stable is hummus...very healthy and nutritious...you can buy them in your local store or just find a recipe online. I usually get my carrots, celery, cucumber, etc. and just use it as a dip. 2 tablespoons is probably 2 grams of fat which is good =).

I try not to rely on those package snacks like 100 calories since they may have preservatives, additives, and just unnecessary hidden sugars and fat that are just plain evil ^0^.

not sure what else is there to say, but yeah just eat fruits and veggies. they are good, nutritious, and have fiber which are good for ya

Apart from the food in the post above.. COTTAGE CHEESE!
Protein + calcium and a better version of cheese cheese.
Haven't checked sodium levels but I'm thinking cottage cheese would have less salt than other types.

Parfait is healthy and also simple to make.

You just need:
plain yogurt
Blueberries
Strawberries
Banana (....Or any fruits that you'd like to add)
Granola or cereal flakes

Just add any fresh fruits on top of your yogurt and sprinkle with granola or flakes. Very healthy snack with good carbs, plus yogurts has good bacteria that will clean your stomach.

Cottage cheese has insane amounts of sodium. i think it has upwards of 400mg for a 1/2 cup serving. That's why I eat cottage cheese curds instead.

My favorite healthy snack is ANPB.
"But when it ends and while it ends, something comes, after so much rage, persistence, obstinacy, extravagance; something entirely unexpected and touching in its mildness and goodness. With the motif passed through many vicissitudes, which takes leave and so doing becomes itself entirely leave-taking, a parting wave and call, with this D G G occurs a slight change, it experiences a small melodic expansion. After an introductory C, it puts a C sharp before the D. . .and this added C Sharp is the most moving, consolatory, pathetically reconciling thing in the world. It is like having one's hair or cheek stroked, lovingly, understandingly, like a deep and silent farewell look. . . . " (Mann: 55).
