I am interested in merchandise marketing or merchandise product development.
There is a very high chance that i just might do too.

Is FIDM a college that ASIAN mothers can brag about? (yeah weird question)
I wanted to do 2 years at FIDM (fidm is only 2 years right?) then transfer to some where in NY and will that work out?
I read that is it not necessary to take general education courses before attending FIDM. I was wondering should i take GED in a community college?

I live in LA so i want to go to the FIDM in San Fran.
I would like to know which one is better San Fran or LA?
Share some stories abt FIDM?

to be honest with you, the only colleges Asian mothers can brag about are top national universities (Ivy's and UC's if you're in Cali)
it's even difficult to tell them about liberal arts colleges because they're so unknown
i've never heard an Asian mother brag about their child going to art/fashion/design school because, unfortunately, they do not lead to the most stable jobs
if you want to attend a fashion design school with reputation, i can only suggest Parson's in NY
as for FIDM, i'm pretty sure you only need passing to decent grades and a good project to submit
definitely go to LA if you plan to attend for better internship opportunities

Honestly, Asian parents love UC's and "brand name" schools.
Most of my friends are brainwashed by their parents because of this.

I had a presentation @ my school by FIDM twice [frosh & this year].
FIDM seems like a real good school; it's better than going to a UC for it. Lol.

Doesn't Lauren Conrad go to the FIDM in LA?
Anywho, FIDM was one of my picks for next year if I decide to go in merchandising.
