I'm not sure this is the right place... but I'm a full time high school student and part time college student.

and i have completed 12 units so far (another 7 that are not UC transferable)
I basically have three semester + summer left to complete the other 48 that i needed.

My question is that is it possible to be a full time high school student and take 48 units in basically three and a half semester?

uh haha i don't know about your situation....
but i'm a senior in high school but a full time community college student. it's weird...i'm doing a special program where all my classes are in college. so i don't even take classes at my highschool...how it works is...one class lasts one quarter...and counts as one year of highschool (which is 2 semesters). so if i take a class that's 5 credits....i get 5 UC transferable credits..and 10 (its doubled to equal one year of high school) high school credits.
so hmm.. this quarter, i have 19 credits because the program i'm doing only allows a maximum of 21 credits.. so ill have 2 more quarters ( winter + spring..im not staying for summer).....and if each of those quarters, i have another say 19 credits....by the end of those 3 quarters.. ill have 57 credits transfered to college. and 114 added to my high school credits (haha so unnecessary i know)

so i mean...i guess it is possible if you're in college full time like me...
but if you're still taking classes at your high school, how many credits are your high school classes? if you cram more college courses in, im pretty sure you can...you'll be really busy though.

I got confused the first time I read your post.

When I was in HS, I skipped junior year and went to senior by going to community college 100% of my time. It would be impossible to do full time college and full time high school at the same time. Choose one or the other, or make a compromise.

Personally, I found that going to college was much easier than going to high school. A lot of requirements for GE breadth and high school graduation (at least in Washington ...) overlapped and that made it easier.

I recommend you look at your future schedule (high school classes) and see what other college classes you want to take and see if it's possible to accumulate to your goal. Anything is possible but it depends on your schedule, your choices, and your ability. Choosing math as a class would be advisable if you want units because generally they're 5 units, or you could go for science/bio classes. Otherwise, most of them are 3, so ...

Good luck :]

it's gonna be tough if you take fulltime college/ fulltime high school.
but it's possible smile.gif
my sister is a senior and she goes to high school (semi?) full-time, (she takes ap class too)
and take four classes, 20 credits, at community college (normal fulltime takes 3 classes) because she changes her mind and wants AA degree with highschool diploma.
she also works part-time 4hrs/day. though sometime she called in sick and skipped .
she never has more than four hours of sleep. but that's what starbucks are for (at least that what she told me)
anyways, just as long as you know how to manage your time and schedule your schedule wisely (make sure you meet the high school grad requirement)
^i agree, see if some of your hs classes can be taken at college.. or if you're willing to work super hard during summer, you can take less classes now and more classes later. online/distance learning classes are pretty easy though (according to my sis). you might want to check that out. smile.gif

That sounds extremely unhealthy. As a teenager you need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep.

It's not worth it to risk lack of sleep (which can cause many health problems) in order to do both full time HS and full time community college at the same time.
