But we are scared little children and we love clinging to our fantasies.

I love the world! But yes the truth I think I'm pyschologically capable of getting through the steps to acceptance.

I agree that sometimes, white lie is inevitable. If a lie can save someone (I mean in a good way, depends on the situation), why not? But you can't always use that excuse to lie.
Truth hurts, but that's life.

A person who lies should recognize the significance of the lie and treat it seriously. As long as that person lives with the lie for the rest of his/her life, I won't mind.

Indeed. Suppose it depends on the situation and severity of the lie. Gotta be up to the person to decide.

Though I do think, in other cases, sweet little white lies can also be used if to spare people the pain and agony of something or to make the situation better (ex. say, a loved one had suffered a painful traumatic experience or death and their family wants to know of the aftermath, it would be best to say peacefully rather than the other - so that the family can move onward, even if it's a lie it's to bring them a sense of peace and calm instead of distress over the already-distressing situation). It's about the psychological aspect of someone and whether or not the truth would make things better or worse for them.
So really, it's a matter of judgment in a certain situation and it can be pretty complicated when weighing out the pros and cons. Some ones are a no-brainer, others are difficult to come to a conclusion.

i mean come on. we all know lies are found out eventually. it's been this way since before we can all remember. and lying will cause even more damage than just being truthful.
at least give me the option to get over something in my own time rather than lie to me, make me the fool who goes on happily not knowing and then still finds out later only to have it hurt more.
