Hi, I'm applying to the University Of Kansas. And I have a scholarship essay due in like four or three weeks. Well i was wondering is anyone knew any foundations that helps the poor Asia countries? I searched and google and found nothing . Even asked my teachers at school but they didn't know anything either.

Also, since it's just a regular essay, should i begin with an introduction of myself like:

Hi, my name is Ashley ....

Or should i just begin like I'm starting a regular school essay without the whole me introduction? Just wondering. Thank you to whoever helps me out on this. = )
