Wow...they just officially announced that Summit will go ahead with New Moon and we already have a thread. I was just thinking of starting one over the weekend and I find this. LOL. Twilighters are really fast. Like Juhee, I am hoping they would get Alfonso Curon to helm this because I think they have to treat New Moon differently because I think it's a little bit darker than Twilight. I think Mr. Curon will do a very good job of translating that darkness that I hope the movie will have.

i didn't want Melissa Rosenberg to write the next sequel... yah know... more money can also equal to better writers?!

yeah, thats what I'm worried about too. Catherine shouldn't do favoritism. I hope someone will suggest or make a petition to replace Catherine.

if Summit doesn't change Screenwriter, i think they will keep Catherine as well. I haven't watch the movie but i can see Catherine room too much about actors' face. there are so many critics about camera angles, editon, plot. I hope Director and Screenwriter should spend their time to read reviews. They left out so many important part of the book.
i hate how Catherine give Rosalie more screentime than Alice because Nikki is her bff. How unprofessional they are ... i would die if they let Rosalie goes to Italy.

i doubt they'll be changing screenwriter coz even before twi-movie came out, the twi-cast already said during interviews and such that the new moon script was already finished and they were just waiting for the go signal
*which worked out coz summit did greenlit the sequel *

as for the director, well there's a possibility it will still be catherine but we'll hear from summit soon enough i guess

Script already finished for 'Twilight' sequel

With "Twilight" rising at the box office this weekend, Summit Entertainment has officially announced its first sequel, "New Moon," Variety reported on Saturday.

"Twilight," the teen vampire romance that's generated an obsessive following among young audiences, earned $35.7 million on Friday, including a whopping $7 million from Thursday midnight screenings.

Fang fans won't have to wait long for more � the studio is already moving forward with the follow-up. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has signed on to pen "New Moon" and possible third installment "Eclipse," and star Robert Pattinson said the "New Moon" script is ready to go.

"The script is already done for the second one," he told the Seattle Times earlier this week, noting he's signed on himself for two more movies.

The "Twilight" films stem from the popular four-part series of novels by Stephenie Meyer, which includes "Twilight," "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn."
