I have never been in this situation before I am just curious. has anyone ever dated someone just cause they had lots of $$? if so why? Is $$ really everything? does money buy happiness?cause usually i see in dramas its either the girl or guy whos rich while the other is poor. but thats unrealistic, thinkin someone upper class would go for someone lower class. someone usually tends to fall for someone thats within their surroundings. anyways, in dramas they face many obstacles with society and the family. so has anyone been in this situation before where u dated someone for their wallet? be honest/ if u knew/know someone who is like this or if u just dated someone that wasnt in ur class. ex middle class person dating a lower or upper class person. tell me ur story(:

I'm going to be laughing like hell if someone actually posts up a story about being a gold digger. x]

... soompiers watch too much drama lol but that's because it's soompi
er don't compare real life with dramas as dramas tend to exaggerate thiiinnngs.

i don't think i'd mind dating someone who's in a lower class than me, as long as he's not so darn broke that he can't afford anything. dating someone who's too "rich" for me will just make me feel inferior and that i don't match up to him. plus, i'd feel guilty if he buys me things.

Eh no, that's just gold digging, and it makes the relationship really uneasy knowing that you're only after the guy's money.

lol to be honest, I think the dominant age group of soompi (13 ~ 17 year olds) wouldn't have experiences of being a gold digger

ask yourselves...

is power and wealth attractive?

it beats the hobo down the street, that's for sure.

_ I remember this funny explanation of what females are attracted to [i forgot where, so i can't quote]:
" Women like gentlemen"
means "Women like rich guys"
"Women like stability"
means "Women like rich guys"
"Women like to be take care of"
means "Women like rich guys"

Lol. it was funny when i read it. forgot where....-sighs-

LOL. I don't think many people here would actually admit that they're gold diggers.
Especially when half of them are in denial. And then some don't even have jobs yet, considering their age. (AHEM)

I highly doubt anyone would admit it let alone talk about it

I know this person (we aren't exactly friends, but we were in the same group when we did clinicals back in nursing school) who's currently with her bf because he's older than her by 11 years and has a stable job, thus being able to cater to her whims. Honestly, everyone thinks he looks old enough to be her uncle because he's balding already, I guess. She complains that his libido is not up to par with hers (I didn't really have to know that part of her relationship, but she's really open about it o_o). But she has been with him for 2 years, I think? Because he gives her everything she wants in terms of material things. :x

She's still pining for her ex-bf though (who's younger - about her age- and much more attractive but not as rich as her current bf).

Just like alcohol can make a girl look better, money can make a guy seem better. But I dont think its just about money, its about success. Successful people are usually more confident and such.

Yes money can buy happiness. Or if you have everything else in life it can make it better.
I have dated a guy for his money, I won't go into too many specifics tho. sweatingbullets.gif I met this not so nice looking guy at a store and he keep looking at me. So I thought it would be funny to mess with him and flirt back so he gave me his number. I was never gonna call him. But, I saw him drive off in a "nice green car" so I saved his number. I called him 2 or 3 weeks after(hehehe) so we could go out. I just wanted to go out and I didn't want to eat the awful food my eemo cooked that day. When he showed up he was like a Korean actor(total makeover!!) and he took me somewhere nice. Don't get me wrong I'm not poor or low class but when I want something expensive I get the whole "you no need that!" or "you need to work for nice thing!". So it is just nice to have someone buy things for you sometimes or even just take you nice places. It took me a while to like him for him and not his money, but when I did it was too late. He was always working so I cheated on him and he found out(cuz he's a ninja ph34r.gif ) jk. But we just didn't talk after that and I really regretted it. I still do sometimes. People shouldn't look at it in such a bad way. Some people have a taste for Chanel on an Old Navy budget. And PLEASE don't feel so sorry for gold digg-ees! Usually the people who have bad looks/bad personality that have money, know what they are getting themselves into if all of a sudden a pretty girl/hot guy start to like them. Or even an old guy with a really young sexy girl. I mean come on if they have money they can't be too dumb!!
And I know plenty of girls who act so innocent and pull it off so nicely. I'm sure one or two of them are on soompi somewhere so I'm not going to go into details. hehe rolleyes.gif
Luckily now, I don't need to date a rich guy because I get the things I want from my parents. But if I do see a rich guy who takes interest in me, I will definitely turn into that little monster who eats Louis V. for breakfast. mmmm blush.gif

I will never date someone of their money. I think it's wrong. Money can't buy love, money can't buy happiness. Maybe it can buy happiness but how long will it last? I'll rather use my money then use my boyfriend's money lol, weird? Me and my boyfriend dated for 2 years and I still don't like using his money, not because I don't feel comfortable, it's just that I have a job and I can treat myself. I rather him save his money for himself.

I dislike people who use others for just their money. I find it very cruel.

Never Ever Give Up.
