The topic title explains part of it but... yeah~ XD
I want to reboot my laptop because I think there's a virus or something but whenever I scan it says nothing is wrong...
So, I'm asking my brother to reboot it for me, but is there a way to reboot it without losing all the things that I have?
Ex. Music, pictures, etc.

Please help me~

-----------

My brother said to move the things I still want into the D hardrive or w.e its called again...

yes. when u use ur recovery or 'install windows' cd, there is an option on windows xp that tells u if u want to completely reformat ur entire hdd or just reformat windows - obviously u choose reformat windows only

im sure vista has it too, but vista can suck balls for all i care

i hope i helped ^__^

Ok~ my laptop has Vista.
So, does that mean that I can move my stuff to the D hard drive and they'll not be deleted?

IMO you should move your stuff to an external hard drive JUST IN CASE!

yeah what you should do is to copy all your files to an external hard drive because everything will get erased.

what you should do or your brother is to look up the wireless drivers for your laptop (big mistake i made was downloading the wrong wireless drivers so i couldn't get on the internet at my all-wireless school [had to use a friend's laptop]) so you can get on the internet after reformatting.

it's called reformatting btw, not rebooting. rebooting is just restarting your computer haha;;
