I finally got to record something!

Hard to believe but it's my very first solo cover and I'll dedicate it to Michael aka 시아준수. You all should know he's the sexiest man alive!!!! hahahaha

I was supposed to collab this song with Michael and Maci. It fell through and I already learned the song so I figured I'll try and record it.

so, I usually don't like singing solo songs because my voice is extremely pitchy.
I fixed that by double layering the voices but now it sounds like there's an echo.

anyway, hope you enjoy.

[edit] ok i'll be honest...this was interesting at best. especially since i hate the actual song.



PSYCHE!!!!! a.ka. jk jk ^^ but ya i actually don't like the actual song by dbsg/whoever they covered.

this was so good!!!!!! your voice is so smooth and u have such a rich tone quality!!!! love the slight vibratto you have going on at the end of phrases. u still have that soulfulness factor which adds to the emotion of the song.
damn very nice transition throughout ur registers. even though you mainly used chest voice...i can sense a bit of mix here and there, and maybe a tiny bit of head voice....very nice^^. there weren't any noticeable breaks which was good ^^.
loved the change in dynamics from 3:23-3:25.
diction was good, could've used a tiny bit more emphasis on consonants...but nothing really bad at all ^^.

overall a perfect rendition...except for that one tiny tiny miniscule pitchy part in the beginning.

thanks a lot for dedicating to me ^^. i feel so honored and happy and touched and extremely thankful. am i really more than the air you breathe?
i still can't believe u dedicated ur ever first solo cover to me ^^. even more honor there ^^.

yeah, i know you don't like the song. It's the reason why our collab died.... which i'm very sad about btw.
but i know pitch problems are still there and I definitely thought I overdid the vibrato a lot.
But i wish my voice was smoooooooth. it just sounds very rough and edgy at times. but thanks for the lovely comments. I ignored the fluff by the way. hehe

but this song is from 동방신기's newest album so that may be why you're not familiar with it.

back ^^ i love your voice cause its so low, perfect for ballads (in my opinion). i can never sing ballads cause i'm a bit on the nasally side >< i love your harmonies. its very well mixed and balanced, the harmonies sound like they really were supposed to be there.

you do have to work a little on the end of your phrases (especially in the beginning, some of the word lacked support) but its not really noticeable. i wished, for changmin's part (was it sung by him?) from 3:04 to 3:08 you could have used your chest voice, it would have more oomph (i think) and junsu's part at 3:24 to 3:27 could have a little more control, i don't know, that's what i think. ><

but i still love your voice, it's sexy yet soulful at the same time so what i'm trying to say is, post more solo's and i'll stalk spaz like a crazy fangirl (:
