Do Your Parents Allow Dogs As Pets?

I have come to a conclusion that my parents don't like dogs. Especially my mom, she keeps saying dogs are dirty and smelly and when they lick you they are spreading germs all over you. They poop and make a mess. There's a stray dog living in our backyard right now (I really don't know how it got here cause there are fences all over) and it won't leave!!! I keep feeding it cause I always think its hungry and it sleeps over by the backdoor a lot. It's a really nice dog that never barks and when I say NO! it stops following me. It's rainy now and the only house it has is a dell computer box that I foudn in my garage and some blankets. I've never had a pet dog before this is my first ever, I'm trying not to feed it chips. If I could I would bring the dog in the house but right now its ok living on our patio.

Anyone else have the same problem with their parents?

The only pet I can have are fish which really sucks cause fish tanks are smelly and dirty after every 1-2 months. I don't like cleaning fish tanks carrying a few gallons of water and pouring it out while smelling the dead stuff in it. You can't even pet fishes so whats the point?!

Same, my mom refused to have a dog when my dad said it was okay.
she thinks they smell and poo everywhere.
but i think its okay but i hate the dog hair.
the only pet ive had is
fish and a pet hampster for like a day haha.

but i wish one day i can have one.

nope. i have seven dogs.

honestly, i don't get the whole keeping-fish-as-pets thing either. all i can do is just stare at them through a piece of glass. i like animals that i can pet and hug and cuddle with.
