His little brother currently attends MIT and his big brother went to yale and got his ph.d at John Hopkins.
It's really amazing how 1 person can compose such different types of songs! YAY:)

I know. I really admire him for his music. But I also admire him for his music because he isn't just a high school dropout that got discovered for his looks. I mean he gave up a premed career to pursue music (and ended up losing his first g/f, but that's a diff story), and that's true appreciation for music.
He spoke english as a kid, he learned french in high school, he learned chinese when he was 17/18 when he first went to taiwan, he started learning canto at age 22ish, and he started taking up japanese just a few years ago.
He speaks english, french, and mandarin fluently. He understands cantonese fluently, but he's still not the most fluent speaker, haha. He's released a japanese album and he speaks japanese conversationally.
A bit off topic, but this is his "educational timeline" translated from his sony tw site.

whts this about lee hom being gay.. o.O
dumb rumors..
Leehom is one of the very few celebrities in Taiwan/Asia who keeps his love life COMPLETELY PRIVATE. He NEVER talks about it and never responds to questions about it. So the media started thinking he was gay.. and it's just been out of control -__-
.book ♥ readings for: hk society, hk social policy, social geography, globalization & information society....... fun times.
.tv shows ♥ gossip girl; how i met your mother; the office; grey's anatomy; 30 rock
.music ♥ kings of leon; late night alumni; the hush sound; slumdog millionaire soundtrack

to add to what vc1188 said, this is what leehom said:
Do the "rumours" the tabloids fabricate, make you angry?
It doesn't bother me much now, although it's still annoying at times becuase it isn't true. I just don't want to come out and make the news bigger. I do music and I want to focus all my energy on this. I've no desire to use tabloids to promote myself. I don't want to waste my energy holding press conferences to deny my relationship with certain people or to say that I am not gay because it's just not in my interest.
