So I just got warned by my supervisor in the company I worked. He said he got disappointed with what I write about that company on my blog and he asked me to close my blog.



What I write on my blog was just rants, a personal opinion about my 4 months working there. I did not even mention the company name, I did not mention their projects/clients or the employee names. I did put a picture of my desk there.

I was also joking by mentioning 'working' as 'slavery' in my entry. I did put ":D" mark but looks like everyone in that company consider it seriously. And they feel bothered, shocked and angry with it.

I really don't understand adults. Why they took an opinion from a youngster so seriously. They did admit that what I wrote was fact but they asked me to shut up. They said there's no need to say bad things about their company. Geee...

I write honestly in my personal blog and I got blamed for it.

Have any of you experienced the same thing?

Not your kind of trouble. Just a bunch of mix ups.... actually. I don't even know if it has come to think of it. The web is a bad bad place to be right now. Everything is SO accessible it's so scary. And so sad at the same time.

Maybe you should get a private blog...or a blog in which you don't even mention your name so that it's public enough to show people but not put a name on it.

actually, in the work field, it's a bad thing to have any accounts on a social networking sites.

There are things people can use to ruin your image, a company image or use it for other slander reasons.

Take that one teach who was fired 'cause she posted pictures of herself in a bikni while on vacation on her myspace.

^I agree with previous posters.
You have to be careful what you blog or even put up online.
It's just fast and easy access on the internet.
Like simply blogging about how work or schools' going could show up as a top hit on a search engine.
Anyways I blog too, but never got in trouble for it.
I don't think I write anything risky anyways, but if I did or it was personal, I would lock it.

Not me personally, but a lot of people I know write really mean things on blogs and from that people build up a reputation for being a b****. Most of these people don't work by the way.

erm i don't know if this counts but some TB idiot started taking things out of context on my blog and tried to make me look like the "baddie". Obviously i went and confronted every. single. one. of them and interrogated/abused them. Ever since then, no trouble has arisen.
