Like for example ..when you post a topic && theres some jerk that always post negative things on it

like "we have a thread like this already, why do you even post?"

or say "not to sound mean...." they end up saying something mean?

or or if you make one mistake and put you down for it .

any stories like that?

My story was that I post a topic on anti global warming (how to help our world become a cleaner place)
and the person was like "we already have many topics like this , if you care so much then do it yourself"

I posted a news topic and this person was like, "Is this even counted as news?" I was like, "It must be, considering it's on almost every News website there is."

It was quite the entertainment.

Ahah, I've never had a mean comment said towards me by a general soompian. Well, once, but they were a troll I believe.
Some people might feel victim to some of the things I say, which I generally don't mean for them to be mean, but they might sound mean.
Too straight-talking for my own good, I believe.

But if someone ever said anything mean I'd probably retaliate. =P

Well it's best to just ignore them, for they have nothing better to do than to shoot negative comments at you.
Thing is, the more you worry about it, the more they'll keep coming at you over and over again.

I'm usually the one that leaves the mean comments...
Soompi tends to be really nice, and the mods here are pretty severe,
so if you can't even handle the flames here... that doesn't say much for you.
I try not to just out and out insult people, but if I want to say something, then
i'm going to say it.

Yeah I hate those kind of people. Like are we really going to sit around and search

Also there are people who flame on someone just because the person above them did, and then you'd have a troop of them blindly following their tails. I bet if the first person didn't start, the rest wouldn't even bother.

Yeah. When I first join Soompi I was like whats their problem? but after being in Soompi was about a year now I notice how annoying it is to have people start the same thing over and over again and it will be more annoying this time because search is back and BTW it's the internet we get thrown negative from time to time you deal with it.

I think that some people think its okay to be mean online, since they would never meet the person outside soompi. Like everyone said, its just those that are a bit immature. don't worry, even though the mean comments bring you down, this is a public thread and there are a lot of people on soompi who are interested in what you have to say.

Well personally I've never had any mean comments directing toward me but I've seen many negative comments before. Even though "there's already a thread like this" sounds mean, I don't find it to be that rude. Some people really need to read the rules or at least look around the forum first, just my opinion.
Then again some people here are just plain rude. There's a difference between expressing your opinion and bashing
