Hey all! I am planning on going to SNU next spring (a year from now). The study abroad topic that was stickied is great, but I think it might be good to create some university specific topics. For me, I need to find out as much as I can about SNU (I can find general stuff in the study abroad topic and scattered stories here and there from various universities). I'm thinking about going to Yonsei too, so if someone wants to start a topic just on that I think it would be great.
If this was done before or the moderators think it's a bad idea, go ahead and delete it (and sorry!).
Anyone else planning on going for Spring 2010?
Anyone had good/bad experiences and wish you knew something before you went? How were your experiences in the Korean language classes? How were the regular classes taught in English or Korean? How was your dorm/living experience? Was it easy to find friends as whatever ethnicity you were (I'm white, but I'm very comfortable speaking with my 유학생 friends in Korean)? Were there any job/internship opportunities?
I'm going through a special exchange program through my engineering department so if there are any engineers that went I would especially love to hear how your experience was (I'm a computer engineer specifically).
I'm SO excited to go, I've been studying Korean for 3 years along with watching movies, drama, listening to music, etc. and I finally get to go to Korea! Most of my friends think I need to emigrate there, ㅋㅋㅋ.
