Is there anyone here that has attended or still attends or knows someone who attends UC Berkeley? What's the college like?
Is a UC better than a CSU?

Lol, nice sarcasms. UC are ranked higher and more prestigious, but not necessarily better(depending on the person/economic status). UC are more expensive but higher education. UC Berk. is very competitive, so if you get in good luck!

actually it really depends on your major. nice sarcasms, but uc hype is seriously five years ago. san luis obispo is ranked better in architecture than any uc's. csulb is ranked 3rd in the west for havign the best masters program, especially education. There are many people who graduated from the uc system and can't find a job, while the csu system trains you for the real world. And csula is ranked in the SAME level as ucla for nursing. IT all depends on your major.

LOL... no offense but yea UCs have a much higher reputation and prestige compared to CSUs. Also its much harder to get into schools like UCLA or Berkeley compared to CSULB or CSUF.
I currently attend at UC Berkeley and it is really competitive and pretty tough to get admitted into compared to the rest of the UCs (except UCLA).
The education offered here is really worth it and there are alot of professors that are renowned here.
In terms of the city, hahah there is hobos and it does feel like the east coast a bit (it gets pretty chilly and it rains) but nevertheless its california so there are those sunny days with warm weather.
honestly, college is what you make out of it so in the end, its up to you to decide whether college will be exciting and fun or boring and suicidal.
