I'm sorry because I have really stupid questions, but I want to maximize my memory space..

I have a hp vista with firefox and whenever I download a music file to upload to iTunes, the file downloads to the "download" section. I can either leave the file in that section and import it to iTunes and it will work, or I can try to drag to a "Music" folder and import it to iTunes, where it will work also.

So, my questions are:
1) When I move the file to the Music folder, is there still a copy of the original file in the download section? (Aka there is no point of moving folders?)
2) Is there a way to save the file to NOT the download section?

You can either COPY or MOVE a file. By copying the file, you'll end up with another identical copy (maybe not the same filename if you so choose). By moving a file, you'll only be keeping one copy of the file. Just make sure that you actually MOVE the file and not create a copy if you just want one copy of the file.

With Firefox, you can go to Tools > Options > Main (tab) and from there you can choose to save it to another default location OR you can have it always ask you where you want to save it. There are various extensions that can help you auto-move files on completion that may be helpful. Also, you should clear out your download history within Firefox once in a while as it can fill up.
