Hello^^ This is due for a project on Korea and I was looking up what the age was that you can have consensual sex/relationship,
and it said... 13. I was like, OMG!! In US most eveyone knows it is 18. But I never trust the internet for this stuff, so
could someone tell me??

Tell me if you think this is ok, 17 year old(or older) date a 23 to 24(24 to 25 in korean years)??
I think a six/seven year difference is not bad, you?

yeah... 18 just feels like a good age to me? probably just cause all of those 'you must be 18 or older to call' commercials i saw my whole life haha and here in the states 18 is 'legal' adult but everyone knows you can't do anything fun until you're 21.

I think it's because of the further risk attached with anal penetration (not just anal sex).

Sorry, by anal sex I meant penetration sexually, in general. Including toys and other body parts or whatever....

I heard in America the age of consent is 16, but if you are under 18 it's illegal to have sex with someone who is over 18. I hope that's not the same case in Australia, or the girls I've been with have been breaking some serious laws. Not that I would say anything.

And I thought that the swedish rule at 15 was low, but 12 & 13, that's just quite weird. Generally I think 18 is a good age, but not that many follows the rules anyway^^

It's not 18 everywhere in the US. It depends on the state.
In NY, it's 17. Then there's this age difference thing between two partners. (I think 15/17 is acceptable? Or something along those lines.)

It's crazy, considering how most Filipinos are Catholic/Christian and therefore, they "don't believe in having pre-marital sex". O_O So why the heck is the age of consent 12 if you are dictated by religion to not have sex until after you're married?

Not that most people follow that "no sex before marriage" rule though. I know tons of Catholics who've had sex before they were married. x_x;;

Yeah. If you have sex with someone 18+ and your under that it's consider some sort of rape.
