I work for a nonprofit organization that provide recreational activities/programs for the youth. For one of the programs, I've been asked to come up with a class for which I'll instruct. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I want to do. Other classes for the program include: arts & craft, urban dance, theater, basketball, classic boardgames, judo, & etc.
Like I said, I have no idea what to do. I mean, I enjoy doing a lot of things.. but I don't think I'm good enough to teach it. I am looking for any suggestions -- must be fun and educational.

hmmm...you can try one of those games like sherades or something similar that would include everyone's participation...and it's quite fun and educational if you include educational topics...
...and just about where do you stand?

OHHHHH!!!!! Play TABOO....it's the most awesome-est game ever!!!!It's suppose to be a vocabulary game...but it's sooo darn awesome!!!! or you can just play little ice breaker games with them, or exercise with them, stretch, teach them why it's important to stretch and exercise. Or you can just have activities for everyone get to know and get along with everyone else.....You can always come up with recipes and talk about nutrition and health.....yup.
dunno, these are just some of the things I did with some of the kids where i volunteered over the summer at my internship...yup....hope this kinda help..
sorry if I were no help....^____^'

my elementary and middle school provided programs like these..
cooking was always fun.. more like baking though, can't be too hard.. just follow instructions i suppose.
i'm a girl so i did were girly crap.
scrapbooking.. friendship bracelets.. crocheting.. kinda boring though.
Bingo was the most popular one though.. couldn't get in.. there was like a waiting list.
i would love for one to be ..where you can just watch movies or listen to music and discuss and what not.
even a book club would of been great.

Map reading! I mean like a treasure hunt where you use a map and a compass to go around and look for stuff.
