i think this is the right place to put it, but mods, if this is not on the right place, im sorry D;
so i got this "acceptance" letter to UCSD's Academic Connection program thing during the summer.
the thing is, i went to their website and still had no idea what it's about. basically my understanding is that it prepares students entering grades 10-12 for college. i was wondering if someone did this before ? if so, what was your experience like ? i really need to know before i encourage my parents to do this. i live so far from san diego and the boarding fee is $3,450 plus an application fee for $100 =.=' is it really worth going? will it increase my chances of getting accepted to a UC university?
please let me know.
if anyone else got it, it would be nice to share your input on it too (:

well it probably won`t hurt you, you can add it on your app as like a summer program. My cousin did a UCLA summer program and got into UCLA, but my sister didn`t do that program and still got in. :/

i remember those summer programs
i got a whole bunch of offers but always it was too expensive (around 4 grand for each one)
do it if you've got the money.
but it's not worth bankrupting your account for.

yes, it's really pricey and i don't know if it's worth going. but i don't know if it has benefits other than experience.
i've been getting a lot of these from the mail lately too. =.='
