Hey there.

So i got a shuffle with an year's worth of warranty from some person a while ago. .. and i have warranty on my pro but that's not the problem...
the problem is, i was wondering if anyone out there knew how much i can get away with on this warranty.

like. I've heard that apple warranties are pretty lenient on replacing all of your ipod/macbook/macbookpro needs, but how lenient is lenient?
I've already gotten new headphones, do they have a limit to how many times you can get new headphones?
Do you think if i freeze my shuffle (on accident) they'll give me a new one and replace it as long as it's still qualified under the warranty?
If i drop coffee on my pro, and it dies, will it be replaced? (I've heard stories...)

Do any of you guys have any experience with this?
It's really bothering me because I'm a clumsy/forgetful person and it'd be pretty reassuring to know exactly what and what i can not get away with... sweatingbullets.gif

thanks!

well my macbook's harddrive failed on me twice. and they replaced it twice.
i know my friend's battery ran out, (naturally)
he used his macbook ALOT and they replaced that for free as well.
those are the basic necessities i believe.
i guess if u REALLY REALLY want to replace ur ipod. mess it up. drop it a few times and see if it stops working. u can get it replaced if they dont find out that u purposely mis handled it.
and i also guess if u REALLY want to get a replaced macbook pro, i guess u can like, burn on a fuse or, damage the LCD somehow...

but really now, when u have ur macbook or ipod for a few years, most people usually sell it and get it replaced with the new one.
apple makes a new ipod/computer every year. yours gonna be old soon.

I would say hardware failures they will definitely replace it for you. Liquid damage are really easy to tell and in most cases they will deny you a replacement and tell you to purchase their better warranty which covers everything and anything.
