Many people have tried to explain how bittorent works but I'm still confused what is the connection between bittorent and d-addicts.
I see so many dramas I want to watch on d-addicts but have no idea how to download drama into my harddrive. I'm assuming dramas on d-addicts are .avi, mp4, .wmv, .rmvb files so I can copy to CD/DVD?
Can someone give me really really SIMPLE directions (pictures if possible) how to download using d-addicts?
Thank you so much.

1: download a torrent .exe.. like bitlord, bittorent, etc.
2: go to d-addicts.com
3:

4: You get a pop-up with 'open' or 'save'.
5: Open it with a torrent application (see 1)
6: download start at torrent .exe...
or go to the FAQ from d-addicts.

Is there recommendations on which torrent I should use? I guess with bittorent, it's not like CB which you only have one choice, versus with bittorent, you have several choice to use but need to download only one? Is one better than the other? or easier to use than the others?
Thank you.

but it depends on the seeders/peerders though.
my own preference is Bitlord 1.1
but then it's the only one I've ever used...
more info at here...
You're welcome~~~

When I click on "download", I get box asking if I want to "open" or "save".
What is the difference?
Can someone explain further what happens once I click on "download" from d-addicts?
Does different torrent give different speed? What is the speed most people get?
Thank you

Imagine a pyramid scheme, the first people are the seeds and are at the top. When you start to download, you are a leech and you add to the bottom of the pyramid base. As you download (lets assume more people get the torrent and want the files) those people add to the base of the pyramid and you slowly finish and share the stuff you have at the same time.
So yes, there are different speeds. As you progress and you download and upload more, you gain more connections to the seeds and people who are almost done and you get more download speed.
Just open it to utorrent if you save it, you will get a blah.torrent file in your download folder that you will need to open in utorrent so might as well just open it.
To gain more speed, a lot of people limit their upload to about 50% since you're in alhambra and lets say you have att dsl... your upload is about 40k/s so 20-30k/s will be optimal upload for you.

Sorry for my ignorance.....but if I open it, let's say the file is 400 mb drama clip, with CB it doesn't save the file to my harddrive unless I save it. Will just opening it save it to the harddrive so that I can burn to cd/dvd?
Thank you.

CB = Clubbox? For that you don't really have control of the upload speed (or if it uploads at all)
If you're uploading at about 8k/s then most likely the torrent is a bit old and not the most popular and you might not get the best speed... not much you can do about it, might take a while but it will be okay

Question. Are you saying if it's recent torrent we can control the speed? How is that done? You said something about "people limit their upload to 50%"? Can you please explain this?
Thank you.

I think I'm beginning to understand how bittorent works. I'm getting there but still have some questions.
I'm trying to download very old drama, Love Generation, and I was finally able to download Ep. 1 but on Ep. 3, I see a message that saids, "Love Generation - To Seed". Does this mean it won't download?
What exactly is "Seeds" and "Peers"? I heard the someone mentioned asking someone to "Seed" an epiode. How is that done?
Thank you again. Really appreciate all your help.
Hope that helps a bit

Peers are like you, you upload and download... share if you can at the low levels, and are supplemented by the speed of the seeds uploading.
