hey guys. i'm really undecided on which one to get between these 2 cameras. i'd really appreciate if you guys can give me your opinions and if you owned either of them what you think of the camera.

i cant decide cuz the bottom one seems to be such a good deal while the optical zoom is higher 4x vs. 3x for the 880is.

I don't have the 880IS, but I do have the 870IS, which is similar to the 880IS.
I've been a loyal fan of Canon since my SD400 a couple years ago and would never choose another camera brand other than Canon.

I'm assuming the photo quality between the 790IS and the 880IS will be similar, so I'll compare the two based on what you're getting vs the cost.
For a price difference of $50 AND a 8gb SD card compared to a 2GB SD card, I would choose the 880IS.
To be honest, the photoprinter is useless. The paper costs too much money, the quality of the photos aren't good, and the ink costs a pretty penny as well.
