During the summer, I started to get lots of pimples on my face (the ones that hurt and wont go away),
and my forehead was a mess.. like a total mess.... when i touched it, it didnt even feel like human skin.

then about a month ago I bought differin, because I read from somewhere that it has worked wonders on a number of people..
I forget if it was here in soompi forum.. : P
so i tried, and its WONDERFUL! i would apply it on my painful acne at night, before going to bed,
and in the morning, it would be FLAT.. as if there was no acne to begin with. now, i only have a lot of scars from
the acne (prior to use of differin) which I'm treating with an ointment.
other than that, i have no more acne.. it's incredible..

i was wondering, where can I get it cheap? how cheap can I buy it?
and does anyone know the long-term side-effects (if any) for use of differin?

online, it says that you shouldnt use it when breast-feeding or when pregnant (which I am not).. but if it's dangerous enough to
affect a baby, doesnt it mean it is somewhat harmful to the human body??

I dont know.. : ) but I'm really happy it has worked on me, with no side effects as far as i can tell.

doesn't differin require a prescription?

i don't think you can just buy it from the store just like that.

^ Yeah, I think differin is by prescription only.

Yes you need a perscription if you live in the U.S but if you live in Canada however, perscription is not required and you can even order it online. And to the OP It's good to know that Differin is helping you. I had used Differin for 4 months last year and it woked wonders. But I got immuned to it so it doesn't help at all. If anyone else has this problem go see a dermo and they will perscribe another treatment similar to the Differin.

Like many have said, you need it prescribe. How did you get your's?(iamdangermouse) I didn't buy mine though, my aunt works in a clinic and has connections, so she gave me one for free. Worked great for me too, I love touching my forehead now, so flat and smooth smile.gif but I probably shouldn't do that so much, should I..

theres a low chance of birth defects or similar because its a topical form of basically vitamin a. They need to warn you since on the other hand accutane is an oral form of concentrated vit a and does carry risks for pregnant women.

toward the end of sixth grade, i got my first pimple and my mom freaked out. lolz. she was more worried than me. ^^;
first i got retinol, but that made it worse, but i never had bad acne, like a couple scattered on my face. sweatingbullets.gif
then, i got differin, and i barely have any acne, other than once a month (you know girls... wink.gif )
and now my skin is clear. hooray!!!! except for a few marks where i just couldn't help but pop the little pimples. lol

I don't remember how much it cost, but I had it prescribed to me a couple years ago.

And when I started using it, it broke me out like INSANE so I stopped using it.

I switched back to my Clindoxyl Gel and it was all good.

Differin is prescription only. I used it a few years ago but it didn't work wonders for me.

I'm moving this to the health/fitness section!
