BUT for people who just have slightly slow metabolism due to genetics and such you can eat more often to speed up your metabolism, but still make sure you're within your caloric limit or else you'll gain weight >< caffeine also increases metabolism for a bit until your body gets used to it... i think green tea also contains metabolism-stimulating compounds?
but i think my doctor told me the best way to increase metabolism is to exercise... so.. ^^;

yes i agree. Also if you are trying to lose weight, go about 300 below your actualy maintenance calorie intake. Also its best to eat 6 small meals a day to make that totaly 300 below your maintenance.
also you should exercise too as well since i think it also boosts up your metabolism as well =)

- Eat a meal 5-6 times a day with small portions... you won't be eating more food, just spreading it throughout the day.
- Eliminate processed food from your diet.
- EXERCISE. Do strength training because this will increase your lean muscle mass. Muscle uses more calories to maintain itself then fat does.

im about 100lbs and i can stuff myself in a buffet and an hour later i would eat more at home..
i digest really really fast.
and sleep and eat. dont gain much though.
it depends on who you are. i know my mom eats and gains weight really quickly, not like me.
i have alot of gene stuff form my grandpa though. he's really tall(use to be lol) and skinny and eats alot.
i heard smoking increase your metabolism but dont do that.
