Okay, my question is: Is it possible for a guy to be mean but LOVE THem...like like a person enough to be mean?

I'm doing this for my friend...

since * god knows*

she is so clueless in this. He is being mean but frequently talks to her...

I mean. If i guy hated you. he'd just stop talking to you right?

and he is mean to her but i feel as though he is just teasing her

anyways... i just need proof that " guys can be mean to show love'

do you guys agree?

Yep. Some guys have problem showing affection and stuff so they do that kind of thing. It also depends on the level of their "meanness" though, and what they do.

Domestic violence? Abusive relationships? I don't understand them, but both the guy and the girl seem to be fine.

If you truly loved someone, you would not treat them like rubbish.

Pretty obvious.

If he's just teasing her, then I definitely think he likes her.
And it's not just guys who do that.
I'm so mean to the guy I like, but we both tease each other all the time because we know we don't truly mean it.

depends on what you mean by "mean"
if he just says "you're short", or "you're dumb, I'm smarter than you"
i don't think that's being mean.

Being mean to me is when the guy will swear to you all the time or something like that.

some guys put on a false facade of being mean, annoying, irritating, blunt etc as a way to mask their attractions to a girl. Well that's what my guy friends tell me, if they're mean to you, it probably means they like you? LOLL ><"

There's tons of definition of "mean".
Like a guy just puts on a tough exterior b/c he's afraid to show his true emotion.
Or, verbally puts you down to an extent that will affect the mind negatively.
Is he either of these?

^ Lol exactly. Like Elementary school mean? The guy usually teases, becomes mean for attention.
Haha. So cute. He probably wants to see the girl's expressions. And deep inside, he giggles and gets butterflies.

HAHAHA. Puppy love.

I think your gf needs lay off them mangas and dramas.

If he doesn't treat her like a respectable human being, ignore his ass.
Chances are he's an abusive sardistic sad little boy on the inside.

Is it possible for a guy to be mean but LOVE THem...like like a person enough to be mean?

and why would he want to be mean in the first? obviously he probably cannot show his affection, but he doesn't have to be mean.

But yes, it is possible, but I wouldn't not recommend it. I would not like it if someone who claims to really like me is being mean to me.

It's like back in elementary, where the boy tease the girl because he kind of like her.

i think its awefully cute and random and funny!!! just like korean drama. well, i mean it depends. when you say he's making fun of her, is like funny or is it...really mean that she wants to cry?
if he makes her cry, then, thats too much.
but if it cute teasing..then, its cute.

Plenty of reasons come to mind:

-he's bad ass
-customs and traditions
-poor upbringing
-thinks women like to be treated like dirt
-thinks his girl likes a possessive man
