I heard that it does help you lose weight but really really slowly. Not as much as fast as cardio. But you will lose weight slowly. Or so I've heard. XDD Hope that helps a little?

No it won't help. Yoga helps tone.
If you want to lose weight/fat, you need to do cardio first.

Not effective. Only for toning.
20-30 mins? Heh that does nothing. That's only warming up.
If you want to yoga, do Bikram yoga, it makes you sweat like hell

yoga is great but if you would like to lose weight adding cardio and eating healthy will help you. yoga alone won't do it.
